Really hope we don't sign this idiot, he kicked our captain in the head for * sake!

Imagine what he would be like in a game vs "them" (if it ever happens again) when tempers flare or even an important european game when decisions don't go our way.
Fingers crossed we get vossen, janko and another centre half and be done with this transfer window.

Only good thing about this story is that Utd have rejected the bid. Surely Celtic won't pay over a million for him! Is he not in the last year of his contract?

This really says it all about our scouting system in terms of strikers if this is all we can come up with lol.

To put it simply he is the kind of player I would expect Deadco to go for! Champions League you're having a laugh!

    You don't want a left-back and a substitute keeper?

Personally, I'd like us to sign him. At roughly £1m, I think he could be a player Ronny could really get ahold of and nurture; you can't doubt his raw talent. Channel all his dodgy energy in the right direction and I think we could have a very good player.

    Queue pelters...

I wouldn't argue with that mate. I think he would do us a job. However id rather save the money on another squad player (he is no better than what we've got) and spend it on someone with a bit of pedigree who might actually get us the goals to get into the Champions League. That could be Ciftci but from what I've seen I highly doubt it.

That's the thing. Although we've seen he can perform in Scotland, the step up to European football is a very big one. The only striker we've signed from Scotland who managed to have any impact in Europe was Skippy (shivers down the spine thinking of when Killen started as a lone striker against Benfica). I would rather Vossen, but still think it could be a gamble worth taking.

Haha he's better than Killen I'll give you that! 900 grand gamble maybe but now that has supposedly been rejected and with a possibly 8 game ban for taking a chunk out someone's leg! :56: Think we can do better!

Isn't there anyone Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, wherever with a good goalscoring record that we can pick up for peanuts? Why did we let players like Hosiner and Damari slip through our fingers?

I wasn't oppossed to signing Çiftçi before but targeting him over Vossen or whoever else shows a startling lack of ambition.

Correct and it cost us dear last year when we failed to make the Champions League. It's even more worrying when like last year we are pretty much certain to be selling a top player for big money and still we seem unable to sufficiently invest!:31:
