    Thats the thing with this rumour. Club Brugge are a decent team and have as much of a chance of playing in the champions league as we do so I dont see it as a step up for him. More a side step to a stone closer to the Premier league.

    the season before he joined us he did play 43 games though, scoring 6 goals...
    So he was a pretty big signing at the time too...

    Yup, after years of somewhat struggling they have come back in a big way this season. Top of the table in Belgium (although it is very tight) and unbeaten in Europe this season, played 15, won 11, drew 4, which is very impressive. Away to Dnipropetrovsk today in the second leg of the QFs after a goalless first leg at home.

    I do think we probably could offer him better terms financially, but not sure if we can agree on a fee that wouldn't be too much for our budget.
