The only reason we started debating about him is because you said I was slagging him for no reason.

Yup, and a lot of people are just animal murderers in denial.

Does it not make you feel bad that the cow you're eating probably had a worse death than that giraffe?

Fear not, they cannot deny the colon cancer and heart issues that await later in life due to their meat-laden diet.

I'd rather die young from meat poisoning than be a miserable malnourished cockwomble living on pee the beds and buttercups. :smiley-laughing002:

I'm not really clued in when it comes to animal slaughter, but it doesn't make me feel good no and I said I'm being slightly hypocritical as I eat meat, but it is still beyond me how someone can take pleasure in the actual killing of a defenseless animal and do it purely as a form of entertainment.

My mom's family lived in the mountains, frontier-type stuff, and hunted most of their meat. The whole animal was used, bones and all, which I have no problem with. Factory farming as it exists today though is not good for us nor the land where it's grown. With the water and area that's used to support a standard cow you could get much more production from fruits and vegetables. Today I try only to eat meat which is hunted, which means I eat much more elk, deer, and reindeer venison than cattle.

Aye you go back in time and tell that to a caveman :56:

Btw, there are as many fat * oot there who are vegetarians. Juat because ypu eat grass doesn't mean you'll be thin, look at cows ffs......

And, I'm sure even non-meat eaters get cancer, don't they? :86:

People seem to have gone off at a tangent in this thread.
It is not about the rights and wrongs of eating meat, or farming animals or indeed hunting for sustenance, but whether this particular type of hunting, big game hunting for fun...that is, paying silly amounts of cash for the chance to stick a bullet into an unsuspecting animal is acceptable.
To my mind it is not.

There is no question in my mind she is a * moron, and i personally dont give a * about the consequences to her thanks to her little pastime becoming public knowledge.

Again someone not getting the point, all i'm saying if you sit there slating her for this and then you go and scoff down a burger made from a cow that probably had a worse death than that giraffe is hypocritical, do you not agree.
