I'm not calling overweight people disgusting, I'm saying that that's the situation. Because many people eat more meat than they need it creates a demand.

And you keep going on about Ricky Gervais.

1 - He isn't obese or anywhere near it, he actually lost a lot of weight and looks in pretty decent shape.

    2 - He doesn't eat red meat.

People clearly also eat more than they need to, so maybe we eat eachother for food? That's how daft that sounds.

I'm vegetarian. Is that permission to take the moral high ground I sense? :smiley-laughing002:

But why? Why does killing a defenseless animal interest you?

It's not the act it's more the act of tracking and the prep work that is done, the kill is just the reward, even wirh fishing the wait is better.

So he supports the fishing industry that's been responsible for the drop in population for hundreds of fish. Sorry that just doesn't make sense to me.

    Don't know what's worse then.

The pleasure of killing an animal, or the pleasure of following it preparing to kill it.

    * *, that's twisted.

You just described the very fabric of nature.

Lions stalking a poor defenseless gazelle pup who has got split from the herd, licking their lips in anticipation.

Even animals in the wild don't make it any harder for themselves than they have to.

Well that's your opinion. I never called anyone sick or vile like a lot of people in this thread have when probably most of them eat meat and are supporting the killing of millions of animals, when in reality it has been shown that humans do not need meat to survive so in my opinion they are just as bad.

I'm actually surprised that not more people are alarmed and angry at farming animals.

Surely the very fabric of nature deems us to hunt and kill our own food, and while sport killing is bad, farming the poor * and killing them on a production line is as unnatural as you can get.

If we are indeed omnivores and are entitled to eat meat then surely we should be going out and killing it with our bare hands?

I'm actually of the mind that farm murdering animals is far worse than killing in the wild for sport.

    How'd ye like them apples?

Taking pleasure in killing an animal is a bit worse than enjoying a burger in my eyes. It might be a bit hypocritical but I just can't see how anyone could enjoy killing a giraffe, and pose beside it smiling as it's dying.

If your living in the wild and hunting to eat/to survive.

Any other form of hunting for pleasure or entertainment is wrong IMO.

Aye but the thing is we literally don't need to eat meat we aren't really built for it, I do it because i like it just like people in this thread I don't know how they can support the killing of millions of animals but get their knickers in a twist when they see a wee cute dead giraffe.

At the end of the day all most people care about is how tasty their sausage roll/burger/pie is, they don't give a * about anything else.

I'm the only person I know in 'real life' who's a vegetarian, I'm surprised to see there's a good few people on here who are too.

What about * fruit and veg as well?

Those are living things until we rip them callously from the roots and scoff them down.
