:bbpd: what you get for betting on them, still time to go right enough.

Never has been, never will be, the best major in golf. Its comfortably the worst major to win for the pro's in terms of achievement.
It is however the most photogenic, with a very high profile, due to the timing and same location etc.
It has a limited field which makes it the 'easiest' to win.

The 2 Opens are way above it in terms of prestige among pro's.

*? Tom Watson at the age of 65 in the top 20 at -1.

Seriously...*? What a superstar he is/was......yet again proving as if evidence was needed, that Nicklaus's record stands the test of time.
Woods is great, but he never had opposition of the same mould as Nicklaus. Its a bit like Federer for me.Fed is/was clearly the best, but at the time of his peak, the opposition wasnt of the same standard as it is now.Not his fault, but still.......and Watson being up there, again, validates Nicklaus's achievements even more.

A few years ago he nearly won The Open if I remember right, went to a play off I'm sure, Watson must be winning everything on the Senior tour.
The way Tiger hit the ball and his swing when he was at his peak was never going to last, he's had long enough to change it and just rely on his irons and short game but he just can't do it mentally.
Nicklaus will be the best golfer in history for a long time, doubt anyone will even get close to Tigers record.

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
Not a bad start from my old favourite Sandy Lyle,a respectable 74,i think he will hit 69 today.

Its all over.Noone will catch him now.He is 21 and threw it away a bit last year, but thats it for me.If he shoots 70, 70 he will win by 10 shots.

Brilliant to watch, but gutted i didnt back him.Had it in my head that Rory would come out all guns blazing so i had to back him at 6/1.......but im pretty sure id have backed Spieth but for that.C'est la vie.

He is here to stay and will compete with Rory for the next 10 years.
