Aye that's some logic sell your best provider of goals in 4 out of the last 5 seasons for a youngster who will not be at the club next season.

 

Could be like Jason deyner happy days if not then we get a bit of extra exposure and someone to help the younger players develop he's already an International so I'd expect him to be good enough to be a squad player at least it's a risk free win win

Yes there is. Currently we dont have those reasons though because he can still play a part as a squad player at least.

Well he doesn't fit in with our system and he is not in the top three picks for any position in the team, he's on a decent wage and we need to trim the squad, especially if we want to bring in other players, which we do need to. So all in all selling Stokes this window is probably the right thing to do.

 

It's hard letting a long time servant go, i feel ya.. But sometimes it's necessary for the greater good.

Ronny doesn't seem to fancy him on the left, going by the signings of Armstrong and GMS in Jan, and now were being linked to McGeady and Ødegaard.

He's probably on a decent wage and is most likely going to be on the bench the majority of the time, makes sense to sell, for me.

 

Really happy if the speculation is correct. It'll be great to see this kid for a year

 

Sorry I should have worded that better, it's not that we are off the map so to speak I realise we are still one of the biggest clubs in the world.

I just think the media exposure of this will be huge, genuinely think this would be our best "signing" in about 10 years if it happened. He is the type of player who would increase season ticket numbers and I do think he would sell some more shirts (Obviously completely massively different but Ronaldo paid off his 80M transfer fee in about 9 months i'm sure in shirt sales). Plus Madrid fans are going to have a vested interest in us to see how their player is doing.

Changes to revenues probably won't be as massive as i'm making it out to be haha but i'm sure there will be some increase

 

I find it hard to see positive things like the ones your describing coming true but it'd be nice to get atleast some positives from the deal if it does happen
