There was never a chance of us getting Denayer. He basically said that upon his arrival.

Denayer was out of contract? Think you're getting him mixed up with Guidetti

I don't think Scottish players are more inclined to be physical. It's just that every * first touch is so bad that their second touch is a tackle. It makes it look a bit hectic, like a giant game of pinball.

I'm sure the boy would handle it fine. Can't see it happening though.

No I'm not. Jason only had a year left though (after his loan). He still has not signed a new deal either. I didnt mean a bosman straight away. Any way it would be hard to mix up a blonde white swedish centre forward with a young black belgian defender!

But you're speaking in the past tense like he only had a year left then, he has a year left now. When he signed he had two years on his contract.

Still don't think I want him anyway but if he turns out to be as good as expected then it might be good to see him in the hoops for a bit.

It's 1 in the morning, forget about my misuse of tenses for *'s sake. My point is that we had an outside chance of maybe signing him. There is as much chance of us signing Ronaldo on a permanent contract than there is of signing the 16 year old. I mean that literally and not figuratively. There is no chance it will happen at all under no circumstance, so we should move on. For the record I am not against short term loans either but this one in particular has no value for us.

I ain't fussed about this guy as he offers nothing extra right now and won't be ours in the future. Jason D was a great loaning signing. Contributed for us and developed for man city. However I see as per BBC gossip Jack Harper finds out if Madrid retain him soon, if not we should be on this. Stand out for Scotland at his level and a disgrace he gets over looked at times.

It's a stereotype that does exist tho.. You just need to look at some of the refereeing performances we've had in Europe. It's a something opposing managers always try and play to.

But there are lots of other reasons why the Getafe move looks more likely.

Is there any point to this signing? Is he really going to dislodge Broony, Commons, GMS, Armstrong, Biton, Johansen, etc?
More so at a time when there's talk of trimming the squad?!?!
I get the feeling he'd be bench material at best and a waste of a few quid each week!

I'd rather Harper permanently than Ødegaard on loan. :50:

I think we should bide our time with this kid. Now is not the time to make a move for him. He is still a wain and needs to develop before we go for him. If we get him on a loan now then in the future he may have the attitude of been there done that. Our objective should be to watch this closely and hope to swoop in to buy him outright in a few years if he does not make the grade.

Only reason we will get him is to give him experience and develop under Ronny so he can get his way into the Madrid team in a few years, we won't get him later on if does fulfil his potential, too much pressure on him at that age though, gotta feeling he won't stay at Madrid for long.

That's the same as saying your just waiting for Megan Fox to put on a few pounds before you swoop in and * her.

That point couldn't have been made any better.

Wonder if you could take him on a 2 year deal ? Year one education and squad player , year 2 proper game time. Just seems too raw as a loan right now.

Wonder if he isnt fitting in a real right now. It was a huge move

Why would we want him if he doesn't make the grade.

Age is * all, if he's good enough now, then there's no reason we shouldn't play him.

Let him get his experience somewhere else. The chances are that he will not break into their first team anyway. Once he becomes surplus to requirements then we make our move. This will be when he is 19/20. This is not a reflection on this kids apparent ability, just that it will be very difficult that he will not make it there. Also there is nothing really in it for us to sign him on loan this season anyway

Just because he does not establish himself at Real Madrid does not mean he cant be usefull at us. Boyata and that new RB are examples of us making similar signings.
