They've been down to 9 and 10 in 2 weeks under big pressure, battered. I'd be surprised if this isn't telling on Wednesday.

Big pitch, us still buzzing and high on confidence from Sunday and a resounding win, in the later stages, if need be..

They also have two players suspended, including their captain, and they have a weaker squad then us. This should be the easiest of the four matches against them.

I think Saturday with Johansen, MacKay Steven and Armstrong will be the easiest by a distance. They will be on last legs after 3 gruelling games against us..

Who's banned Dillon and ? They do have ciftci back but I fancy a 3 or 4 nil win..

I like the fact we are playing them 4 times quickly personally, it's added needle which doesn't dissipate within the few days between games. To that point a Club hero such as Jackie is actually fairly bitter in his summation of the games to the Press.

There are sub-plots running through the games now; Brown, VVD, Dillon, Paton, Dow, Butcher etc etc etc... It makes it more exciting than a run of the mill game against standard SPL opposition.

Over and above that beating them is aw the better when they've been flapping their gums for weeks.

Dixon(red card),Dillon(red card) and Muirhead(cup tied) are all out on their side for this.

Johansen(suspended),GMS(cup-tied),Armstrong(cup-tied) are out on our sides.

Of course also Lustig and Mulgrew with long term injuries and Matthews beeing a doubt for the game.

    Shouldn't Lustig be back soon?

There left back went back to hull and Dixon is out, Dillon is also a fill in (emergency) left back so with that, I don't think they have a first team one?
A weakness to exploit, there defence without those 2 will be weaker for it.
    Should rattle them home..

This for me. Hopefully they will be a bit deflated after yesterday, and a better pitch here than Tannadice will benefit us. Ciftci being available for them would be the only concern for us, but Virgil and Jason should have enough to manage him.

McGowan will play left back probably. Souttar/Paton on the right.

Had a wee look on their forum and they are * themselves at having no left back in the squad. They recon Rankin will start there but they aren't happy about it. For our team I am desperate to see Fisher start but I know it won't happen. I think the team will be .

This match thread should be interesting with no streams and everyone listening to the radio. It will be old-school!

I used to love listening to games on the radio. I remember 'taping' the commentary against the deid club back in the day when John Hughes equalised in the last minute. "Van Hooijdonk goes down, the header from HUGHES!!!!" And the noise of the crowd came over immense, don't think he even said 'goal', the noise said it all.
