Looking forwad to this but time always drags before a match. Still hope for 2-1(realisic score for me). Watching Inter train and seeing Mancini makes me thinkback to watchin italian football on channel four all them years ago. What a player that guy was. Sampdoria a think. Him and the bald guy(Lombardo). Lets hope Ronny does a number on him the night tho.

    As long as Ranocchia plays...
Jesus, Santon and Campagnaro are not that bad.

He will be a handful for us tonight, if we can keep him quiet we will be doing really well.

    They aren't, mate.

However we are all thinking that your defence is the weakest area, which I think it is excluding Handanovic (who is world class imo). Therefore I feel we can exploit it above other areas of the park.

There isn't a great deal of pace back there, apart from Juan Jesus but anytime I have watched him he has seemed less able in the simpler parts of defending. He is fast and good on the deck but could probably be exposed in the air.

I acknowledge this is going to be tough, especially as you seem to be hitting a bit of form. If we can keep your front 3 quiet then we have a great chance. Easier said than done however.

Brilliant stuff. Thought that was the era when italian football had some of the best players they've had but always thought they under achieved slightly.

Seen Santon play for Newcastle many times, never been impressed with him. Decent going forward but defensively he is poor. Not sure if he has improved since then but

Buzzing for this to the point my "do uni work till the game" day has been scrapped.

Think we can get a positive result as long as the defence play well. Izzy needs to be n his game as he can be a bit absent minded in defence and shaqiri will exploit that. That said if we can get the ball to our good players and get at Inters defence then we can definitely score.

I would go with the team from the weekend as ts a good mix of graft, pace and skill. Stokes hasn't done much in Europe recently and has looked poor so would go with Armstrong on the basis he works hard and has a good bit of pace and skill. Also Griffiths has to start over Guidetti on form alone.

This is bringing back memories of Italian football in the laste 90's when I was a kid and Italian football was the best in the world. Inter had people like; Vieri, Figo, Zamorano, Figo, Zannetti, Fat Ronaldo, Djorkaeff and Recoba. They were always a team I had a soft spot for as a kid.

Anyway Hoping we get some kind of lead to take to Italy and defend as I fancy our chances to score over there.

I was an AC Milan man growing up watching Serie A...my memories are from watching it on British Eurosport around 2002-2004 and earlier with James Richardson.

Shevchenko, Nesta, Maldini, Cafu, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Stam, Serginho, Pirlo...

Then Inter and Juve with the likes of Nedved, Trezeguet, Del Piero, Zanetti, Adriano, Cannavaro, Julio Cruz, Cordoba, Buffon, Thuram....what an era.

    :56: Used to love it.

To echo some previous posts, I wouldn't be too surprised if Wakaso started tonight.
