Seen at least two times at the weekend there he cut inside from the left, got in to perfect position to curl off a shot to the keeper's left, but decided to try and take another coupla touches.

    Boy is pish.

Shooting certainly not the best part of his game, no.

I think he is much better when he moves inside. He carries the ball very quickly and loves playing those little one-twos that open up tight defences.

I wouldn't have shot either with a shooting ability similar to Johnny wilkinson :smiley-laughing002:

Awful . Getting the ball and running sideways across the pitch to play a five yard pass is not going to cut it . Cant shoot , cant finish , panics when he gets into dangerous areas and can barely deliver a good ball . Not good enough .

I know he has some good aspects to his game. The one twos certainly are one of them.

But in the bigger picture we have a winger who can't shoot or cross, with very little technical ability also.

He's quick. I think he'll seriously struggle to find a club when he's in his 30s

His shooting ability is quite the opposite of jonny wilkinsonsword, considering the wee * hardly gets any lift on the ball.

Awful scuff shots you'd see from a 5 year old with no shooting power.

He's not one of those players who are good playing and coming inside off the opposite wing, in my opinion..
He should be a right winger only, it's where he's best. He was * at the weekend, no arguments here..

I thought it was extremely harsh on Stokes for Forrest to just walk back in the team.

It's obvious that Ronny wants pace, in which case GMS will play on Wednesday. And if GMS gets a run in the team I'm very confident he'll be cementing himself into that starting line up.

He will thrive on the fact he'll be getting the ball more often.

    * the wee mans no turning out how we thought he would.

For quite a stocky/shoodery boy he doesny half get pushed off the ball easily. We need guys that will work hard for the team all round, so in that respect he'll never make it in Ronnys team. No determined enough.

To be fair, earlier in the season he was doing a lot of tracking back, making tackles in the RB area. Certainly seemd to working harder on that aspect of his game.

I really hope we can get/keep him fit.

Actually, when he came on against Motherwell he muscled there right back off the ball 2/3 times. I was genuinely surprised and happy with that.

He just played * on the weekend.

The problem is, we have been saying that too often, and for too long.

I gave up on him quite a while ago.

I've always had the impression with him that he's never really fully committed. I don't know why, but it's just a feeling I get when watching him.

Gives up on tackles to easily and moans too much about it. It's always been my biggest annoyance with him.

I agree with you and that means he's got a massive problem on his hands. It looks like Ronny Deila likes the same kind of tactics Gordon Strachan used to use with a left footed player on the right and a right footed player on the left. As you said, Forrest isn't going to fit into that system.

I think Forrest could flourish if he stayed fit and we played something like this...........

    CM----CM----CM

    Forrest----------------------------------------LW

    ST

Basically take away some of his defensive responsibilities and just tell him to beat his man and put crosses into the box. Even then he'd need to brush up on his crossing.

    Without penalties...

Griffiths 1 goal per 4.57 shots
Guidetti 1 goal per 5.13 shots
Johansen 1 goal per 5.83 shots
Henderson 1 goal per 6 shots
Stokes 1 goal per 6.75 shots
Scepovic 1 goal per 7.75 shots
Commons 1 goal per 10.83 shots
Wakaso 1 goal per 12 shots
Forrest 1 goal per 13 shots

Does have to improve his finishing.

Armstrong 1 goal per 3.83 shots
    Mackay-Steven 1 goal per 4 shots

Armstrong and Mackay-Steven have been more prolific than any of our players this season, hard to say if that will translate to us given that it'll be easier chances they'll be getting to shoot for Dundee Utd as teams aren't so defensive against them.

Forrest will be no where near the starting team when GMS and Armstrong get their look in's.

Interesting. I thought johansen's woulda been near bottom. His finishing is pretty poor.
