Don't like the idea of his family of 7 or 8 people coming over from his home land and they have tickets

    That's wrong

GLASGOW’S cops are working overtime. Hospitals are on standby with the city bracing itself for the worst.

But Nir Bitton hopes tomorrow’s Old Firm derby isn’t fuelled by hate and hostility. He wants Hampden to be bursting with JOY after a classic semi-final.

Israeli ace Bitton said: “When you play football you don’t care for anything apart from what happens the pitch.

“Of course, sometimes there are things that can take your focus, but we can only think about a win and be at our best.

“Football is joy, it is joy for us and joy for the fans. Football is the best way to take the war or the fights away. When we go on to the pitch, we just need to make sure we give joy to the fans. We must enjoy the game.

“Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But the most important thing is the health of the players and the fans.”

Bitton admits he doesn’t know everything there is to know about Rangers.

But the midfield ace is still respectful of the opposition he’s going to come up against tomorrow.

Bitton added: “I know it is a big game. I remember when I was in Israel and the game against Rangers was always live on TV when they were in the top division. It is one of the biggest games in the world, but we don’t need to think about that.

“We just need to go into the game, play our football and do want the gaffer wants us to do without worrying about the opponents. It will be difficult and we have to do the right things.

“I have friends and family coming over from Israel for the game, about seven or eight of them. They have all got tickets. It will be a special weekend for them.

“We want to win, but we have a lot of respect for Rangers.

“Everything is possible and we have to be focused on the game to do the right thing for us.

“Even if you are playing against a team from a lower division it is going to be difficult for us. It was difficult against Hearts when we played them in the cup, and anything is possible in cup-ties.

“Everyone expects us to win, but it will not be easy.

“I don’t know much about Rangers because they don’t play in the same division as us.

“We know it will be difficult, but it will also be tough for them. It is a semi-final and it doesn’t matter if we play against Rangers or any other team — we want to win and we want to go to the final and win a trophy.”

But for some Hoops fans getting to the final isn’t enough, they want to rub Gers’ noses in it on the way there.

Bitton said: “Everyone expects us to win by four or five goals because we are the champions and Rangers are in the second tier. But in a one-off game, anything is possible.

“We don’t need to think about how many goals we are going to score, or about someone scoring a hat-trick.

“We want to win and get to the final. We want to win all the trophies in Scotland and this is the first.”

I think it is a sad reflection on a supporter , if he resents a Celtic player getting some tickets for the game . The SPL withheld something like 12,000 tickets for corporate use , whatever amount they allocated to Celtic isn't going to represent a big percentage of that .
How do we know that Bitton was allocated more than four or five and wasn't given some by team mates who didn't want all theirs . Isn't it good that a player can attract family and friends from as far away as Israel.

Sure most if not all such fans will have been sorted. Players always get tickets, nothing wrong with it at all within reason.
