Well we qualified, were really unlucky in the Astra away game and had a horrendous start against Salzburg yet almost rescued a point.

The Zagreb game was a dead rubber.

We qualified though. That's all that matters.

Aye and he did excellent to do so but we were prime position to win and let us avoid teams like Inter Milan. We failed to beat Romanian minnows to * it up for ourselves, we got through but when the pressure was on to win, he didn't.

I'm not saying he done bad because he clearly done enough but when the pressure was really upped in that group we fell apart.

I actually have no idea, I've not paid attention to them but in general, coming first is better than second, no?

I'm not really criticising him here,p because we did do excellent to get the results on the board so we could qualify I'm just trying to judge his mentality and the mentality of the team. We've got a limited scope to judge that on just now, I tend to think we lack that kind of steel, that winning mentality that was so prevailent under previous managers.

Villarreal mate, 5th in La Liga at the moment.

I'd actually go as far as to say it might be the harder tie of the two.

I do agree we had a chance to top the group but we done the hard work early on.

I agree. I would like to see him change this though as it can be done. I would hate to see us, as we are now come under real pressure in the league.

Definitely the harder tie of the two, they've been impressive this season and play the kind of football we hate playing against. Basically like our play - but better and faster.

Agreed mate and I'm extremely happy at how well we done but I was more looking at when it came down to a close fight for top spor, we were defi itely good enough to beat Astra away and defi itely good enough to take a result at home to Salzburg.

We shat it but, especially the first 20 minutes against Salzburg. That was so embarassing.

Both sides of the draw were actually quite equal when you look at it.

Could have got Inter, Napoli, Monchengladbach, Fiorentina, Zenit, Everton, Dynamo Kiev, Athletic Bilbao, Dynamo Moscow.

If we were in the other side we could have got Liverpool, Roma, Sevilla, Tottenham, Ajax, Wolfsburg, Villarreal, PSV.

Although point stands we could have won the Group.

Point is I'd always rather win, rather than coming 2nd. It is a strong competition this year though.

Fair enough. Deila is largely untested when it comes to dealing with big pressure games.

Exactly what I'm getting at mate, we've not got a lot to judge on how he reacts to them.

The Inter game will be interesting as it will be his first test against a "good" team, Salzburg were decent but they're nothing special really, we coulda beat them. The Inter game you wonder if he'll play the 4-2-3-1 or if he will play more defensive tactics as on paper they have much better players than us.

Salzburg going forward are a really good team, defensively they were quite gash though.

Deila took Stromsgodset to Madrid to face Atletico and tried to beat them by playing football. Almost succeeding incidentally.

There is absolutely no chance we will be anything more than a bit more pragmatic against Inter. Rightly or wrongly.

Hope we are at leadt a bit pragmatic though, as in don't approach it like an SPFL game. O hope we attack the, though, give them something to worry about.

Against Inter I just hope we dont get beat at home, id take a 0-0 at home as Inter are dodgy and could bottle it in the away game, theyd be * it if we scored first.
