Good aquisition. Armstrong will add a bit of steel to our midfield.
I would imagine Biton will stand down in place of Armstrong.

GMS on the left and Armstrong in centre/right. Agree that he's more box to box and attacking than a sitting mild fielder. But he'll do it all.

Bitton is starting to look like an absolute gem of a midfielder. There's no way Armstrong is going to walk into the team ahead of him. It's not even Armstrong's regular position.

He won't walk into it. But he'll be right up their arses. Making sure they play better/consistent.

Utd apparently looking at Scott Allan as a replacement. Interesting considering that some people were saying we should be after Allan instead of Armstrong

Armstrong will walk into this team I betcha ?

For a start, Armstrong is a better box to box midfielder than Biton.
And secondly, we haven't signed a £2 Million midfielder to sit him on the bench.

This is likely considering Jamesy's injuries.

Bitton has been excellent recently, Brown is our captain, Johansen and Stokes are both in the running for POTY so far and Commons .. Well Commons is Commons

No way Armstrong is walking into this team. He'll have to earn his place.

Bitton isn't a box to box player. Armstrong plays in a more advanced role too.

There's no way he'll be in ahead of Bitton. Bitton has by far the best first touch in the team - he can not only kill a ball stone dead, but use it to get into fantastic space. He also showed on Sunday that he can be a bully too.

Armstrong will take Stokes or Commons place on either side of the 3 with Johansen in the middle.

Stokes in the running for POTY?! :smiley-laughing002: Passenger of the year perhaps. Yesterday was just another in a long line of inept performances.

Aye, he * is. I don't know what Celtic games you're watching but they're not the same ones as everyone else.

He's had some good games lately, but wouldn't put him as player of the year.
