Definitely Che Guevara, James Connolly and John Lennon for starters. Probably three people more than any who I've read up about and agree with their ideologies the most.

    Not being Flippant.
    Google him.
    Edinburg born of Mayo parents.
    Workers' man.
    1913 lockout.
    ICA.

Murdered by the crown while strapped , wounded, to a chair.
His legacy will live forever, eventhough all our union leaders have been bought and sold out.

Read about him there 7 year in British army lol

Interesting fella indeed. Seemed pretty harsh to shoot him in the way they did considering he only had a day left

    Huge mistake by the crown.
I suggest you read "Strumpet City" by James Plunkett. Gives a good background to the 1913 lock-out. By 1916 the people of Dublin wern't ready for an insurrection so soon after.
Has to be remembered that a lot of Irish were thriving under the existing regime.
Connolly and Larkin gave a voice to the masses. But for them, * knows where we would be today.
By executing the leaders, they swung public opinion back to the revolutionaries.
