Hahahahaha. "I can't have my Irn Bru and choccy?! REVOLT!"

He is symbolic of everything that was wrong with Scottish football and the views surrounding it.

Funny you should mention Le Guen, I was worried when he was appointed if they had stuck by him he may well have been a success there.

Big personalities in the dressing room not happy, some short sighted fans on his back from the start....

    Look at them now.

I was really worried this would happen to us at the beginning of the season tbh. We had a very steady routine and a settled squad under previous management, a lot of the players had been there since the start of Lenny's regime and when results weren't going our way, coupled with rumors of an unsettled dressing room I feared the worst.

I think Scott Brown getting on board with Deila and his ideas has been massive in that respect. He could have easily chucked it but fortunately for us he isn't a * like Barry Ferguson. Ronny Deila coming in and introducing a whole new way of life at the club might be the best thing that's happened to us in years.

Brown is the reason Ronny is still in the job I can only imagine how different this season would be if he didn't get injured in Austria ( or if it was more serious )

The difference between Celtic with and without Scott Brownis remarkable and has been for a long time now.

Fair enough I just think without him where a bunch of headless chickens as soon as he came back he calmed things down on the pitch and got us on a good run after the disastrous start I think you could take him out of the side now because we have are confidence back but I still think he's are most important player maybe not the most technically gifted but when it comes to leadership fight and drive nobody comes close to brown what's your view on it then why it turned around for Ronny

Won't go down popular here, but I think Brown is hit and miss. Against Inter he impressed me a lot, big game and he really stepped up. But sometimes his technique is so bad, it's like he's just swinging a limb at the ball and hoping for the best. I'd definitely have him in the first eleven and I like him a lot as a person, but I wouldn't say he's the biggest reason for our improvements. Getting used to the formation and fitness, and his performances alongside Van Dijk's, Denayer's Johansen's and Gordon's have made us an excellent team. Unpopular as he is just now, Guidetti deserves a lot of credit as well. September-December he banged them in and got the crowd going when things weren't going too well.

    Agreed.

It's a really weird one. We seem (seemed) to struggle without him in the team because of his energy and aggression but he's a very limited footballer.

With Broony you're not always going to get a quality performance but he will always fight and dig in, break up play and lead the team. That's his most important quality and one that is always there the fact he is a leader of the team on and off the pitch.

I used to be of this opinion too. Key word there being used. When he got injured in the summer I actually thought it was a blessing in disguise for us, boy how I was wrong. I know what you mean though, his technical ability at times leaves a lot to be desired, I get annoyed sometimes seeing him misplace a 5 yard pass and looking clueless. But what he brings to the team that absolutely no one else does is drive, energy and commitment. Johansen is probably the player that comes closest, but even then he is nowhere near Brown. We are so much better with him in the side, when he's missing we've got no one to boot our baws when we * up and no one to take the game by the scruff of the neck when we need to dig deep. That was evident early on when he was out.

The fitness, players' development and stand out performances from some (Guidetti before, Johansen, Denayer etc) have certainly helped and contributed to the success but without Brown I don't think it could even have been possible in the first place. If we can find another player in the near future in the ilk of Brown but better with the ball I'd be ecstatic, but I've now come to realise that he is worth his weight in gold to us.
