It's obviously not very clear if it took additional explanation for one person to state that they understood what you were trying to say :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

But in spite of your own views on this, which you are absolutely entitled to, you also fully understand and back the right of those fellow tims who do not want to accept this arbitrary censorship to continue to display the flag, if it's a genuine political display and not just being contrary to get it up UEFA, right? That's what I understand you as saying if I take you at your word earlier.

No one else has respect for an opinion. I got jumped on instantly, accused of being ashamed of our clubs traditions etc etc Basically you're a shower of immature tosspots who felt high and mighty ganging up on one person. Not a single person, except Gargamel, disagreed with me while being in anyway respectful. Sad that.

I personally feel its a bit of a waste of time. However if Celtic fans want to take UEFA to court and fight this, I can understand that and would support them. Until that time comes though I think it would be more sensible to leave the flags at home during UEFA games.

We don't get fined for the * of it we do it to show are support of people less fortunate then us and not to be pushed around by money men Tryin to chip away at are clubs and football in general I'm proud I support this club and the main reason I am proud of it is because of the fans standing up for what's right into the face of intimation take away those fans you take away the soul of this club

I don't think he meant the original people with the flag (genuine political expression) but rather was referring to a few posts on here.

It's the club that gets fined, though, not the fans. I don't think fans can take UEFA to court over that. The club would have to do it. Or at least appeal the fine (which Dundalk are apparently doing).

No, you're just unaccustomed to people disagreeing with you.

No you didn't. It's an exchange of opinions, not a pub fight.

Opinions, right or wrong, based on the contempt you displayed for other supporters. Your own fault.

'immature tosspots' - impressive deployment of hypocrisy there.

Treat others with contempt on a sensitive topic, you'll get contempt back. Or do you think social rules don't apply to you?

I was disrespectful, was I? You think going around calling other Celtic supporters 'clowns' will get you respect on a Celtic forum in a thread on a sensitive topic where your view is in the minority? Do you know how this site works at all?

Of course, but ultimately the club would be acting in the interests of the fans, which is what I was getting at.

I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, however implying I'm not a fan or whatever petty * they came out with is nonsense and is what I'm talking about

Yes I did actually, it wasn't an exchange of opinions exactly after I posted my opinion I was instantly called a "*" by multiple users, so how is than an "exchange of opinion" Its one opinion vs multiple insults.

Contempt for fellow supporters? Go back an read my posts. I referred to some as "clowns" for blatantly disregarding rules and not caring about the consequences.

How exactly was me expressing my opinion on here offending other users, again go back and look at where this abuse you're moaning about started.

I've lost count of the number of users being disrespectful, so if you weren't initially one of them I apologise for the generalisation.

It's not about the fine it's about the fascism that uefa are showing by stopping us from waving flags and singing songs it's not just about the Palestine flag it's about them Tryin to dilute are and many other clubs

So you've got upset, on the internet. Best thing to do is step away from your keyboard or mobile and collect your thoughts. :50:

You're more than capable of responding to others' opinions with your own insults. Again, to avoid this take a time-out if people are upsetting you.

I read your posts first time round, hence my opinions of them.

I'm not moaning by replying very sedately to you. If you think this is moaning then, yet again, you have too much emotion invested in this internet exchange and should perhaps step away from the computer. It will help clear your thoughts.

    No problem.

I think there's an interesting point here about the use of language. On the first page I posted that I didn't care what UEFA think. All I meant by that was that I have no respect for UEFA's moral judgement but I can see how it might sound like I don t care whether we get fined. I can understand fans like Champions67 getting irritated by that.

To be clear, I do care if we get fined; I just think that some issues, such as opposing arbitrary censorship of Celtic fans, are far more important (deliberately avoiding basing my position on the actual situation in Palestine itself for the obvious reason of avoiding derailing the thread).
