is flying the saltire political right now because of the independence issue? how the * do uefa know whether or not it was a palastinian waving their own countries flag? should be appealed, and hopefully this kind of nonsense will come to an end.

Hamas, is a terrorist organisation, politics has no place at Celtic Park, especially the promotion of a terrorist group!!!!!!!

hamas IS INDEED a terrorist group... however, if a group of people from Brooklyn commited a crime in New York and the USA responded by leveling the whole of Brooklyn there'd quite rightly be uproar worldwide. can't see why anyone would be able to miss that, or defend the massacre of sn entire group of people

As many Unionists in the six counties refer to the Irish flag as the IRA flag the flag of Palestine is the Hamas flag

I would also wager that the majority on this planet who had an opinion on the matter would name the State of Israel as the terrorist organisation.

Away to * ya silly old *. Nurse is calling, time for your medication!

It's the flag of a country - no different to a Saltire, Tricolour or St George's Cross.
    So..... :101:

Our fans should get a big Palestine flag with PEACE on it

or will Uefa say that wanting peace is political ?

That would be political. Funny cause the Palestine flag is always on display at Celtic. Was over the city chambers.

I recon their would be strong grounds in appealing this. St Johnstone already talking about it. Bet you any money in world, Celtic will take this.

I just don't get this "political flag" nonsense! It's a flag of a people ffs!. UEFA have made a real effort to get rid of any kind of Palestine support. There is something going on here! Some Zionist or Zionists are really trying all they can to destroy the support. It's annoying, as there is little we can do. Ajax and the huns can wave their Israel flags and no one says a * thing. There must be a way to fight this in court as their argument does not hold up.

Scandalous decision from UEFA. No doubt the Celtic PLC will roll-over and accept it though.

I think we should be concentrating our flag waving efforts on our own celtic flags at matches instead of bringing political protests to the pitch side! Its Celtic football club not Parkhead house of commons!

We already know that they're hypocrites, the cheek that they had to make our team stand behind a 'Madiba' banner - when a week or two previously they had fined the club for political banners which are supposedly never tolerated.Clearly there are exceptions though, you just have to look at the Nou Camp or the Amsterdam Arena to see how seriously UEFA take their 'no politics' rules.

In this case it's clearly no politics except their politics. It's not the first time this highly discredited and corrupt governing body has nailed its colours to the mast, and it probably won't be the last.

The club should either appeal or not comment as to condemn the fans for this would only cause further fan alienation from those running Celtic.
