So what does Lawwell do with his profit, if we spend minimally?

And if we keep running the footballing side of things the way we are then we may aswell shut the * doors just now, because that is the worst team we have had on the park since the 90's,even though we have brought in millions of pounds over the last 4 years

I haven't mentioned a thing about how much we should be spending on individuals. However, signing a player with a view that he is going to flop or get a serious injury is the most ludicrous and silly argument for not signing a player.

Nope, look further back in the argument. I will explain this one more time: I am arguing that putting players on big wages for a long period of time is risky, which is why don't often do it. If one goes wrong, perhaps some will suggest a 'big signing' to get us back to where we belong. Repeat ad nauseum until sevco.

We're using the football to finance the business.

Surely that's a worry. Maybe there not the great at finance as their being made out.

Oh well it's almost 1900 so I assume the staff of Celtic PLC will have finished for the day, I doubt there would be any requirement to do overtime unless there was a need to count the banked money. I imagine if VVD or KC are to be on their way, the Bank Manager will be on standby to bank the extra money. I assume there will be a shareholders party this evening with a lot of high fiving going on. I will read about the AGM when it occurs to hear about record profits being announced and no doubt a few awkward questions from those that actually remember there was once a football team that played at Celtic PLC. By which time I assume Celtic's Europa League campaign will have finished after 6 games, 0 wins and 0 points. I expect to be watching that potential nightmare Europa League campaign from behind the sofa. After all if Celtic are not good enough to beat Dundee or Inverness Caley any more I can only imagine what big teams such as Astura Giurgu and FC Salzburg will do to Celtic. Especially after Celtic's humbling by European giants Legia Warsaw and Maribor. Still as long as Celtic have a record bank balance, who cares :47:

Until you get an accountant to fully go over all our accounts, it's impossible to say. We haven't spent minimal this window though at least. Total spend = £0.00. We also have a team that badly needs investment.

This is * dire we've not won a competitive game and * knows * when and Lawell thinks this team is "good enough"

So you would say the current approach is the correct one?

I'll save you the trouble of looking at the accounts: Any money we take in is spent on the club or spent servicing debt :50:

Lawwell may not be far wrong , we sold a goalkeeper and signed one arguably as good . We have loaned out up to 18.45 three players and have signed four on loan arguably better players . So unless we lose someone of decent value in the last 5 hours Lawwell could argue we have come out of this window stronger than we were at the outset .
I would still like a decent striker preferably bought .

Ok say we sign 25 mil worth of players and dont qualify thats about 20 mil out of pocket then the club is in an extremely bad position then if it happens the next season were for sure down the drain

That's one way of looking at.

But Stevie Wonder can see a whole new team is needed. Legia & Maribor proved that.

Lennon got given the opportunity when he first started. Ronny hasn't been giving the same chance.

In general, yes. We need to place more funds into one player, rather than signing maybe 3 average ones (last year). Our transfer business this season have been awful, and Lawwell is at fault (don't know how much Deila/Park is at fault). However that is not to say that Lawwell overall plan is failing. Our successes over the last 10 seasons considering our funds has been good.

Anyway, i'm done arguing. I'm just crossing my fingers we get a ST in.
