Aye giving up on your club is practically the definition of soup taker.

  4. Who's giving up on the club, because I'm certainly not. there's a massive difference being * off with the idiots running the club than the actual club itself

Soup taker is historically someone who was to renounce their (Catholic) religion to be fed in the soup kitchens during the reformation.

Celtic set up soup kitchens to feed anyone of any denomination who required it.

So giving up your religion so as to feed yourself was seen as being a soup taker by those who refused to conform.

Soup taker these days seems to be someone who used to support the club but now spends their time criticising it instead for a few pieces of silver.

Therefore you are wrong young Devlin and I'll thank you to pass that ill gotten Celtic chatter crown to it's rightful owner. :icon_mrgreen:

  7. Stick to degrading alcoholics, you're pretty proficient at that :50:

It wasn't during the Reformation. It was within the last century. It happened during the late 1800s and early 1900s. I think that makes it all the sadder.

Oh dear, Sean. You had the crown from Devlin just 16 minutes and now you've got to hand it on to North. :icon_mrgreen:

Aye, it's morphed into somebody who has turned back on their own beliefs, I'll take giving up supporting Celtic to fall under that :icon_mrgreen:

If we reach the quarters of the Europa the attitude at the club would have significantly changed to allow us to make he changes for us to get to that level
