I've always loved seeing stadiums around the world and a few bucket list entries are to see some of the grand old stadiums out there. This thread is for sharing local/favourite/new/old stadiums or arenas.

Canada's been going through a building boom of late with new stadiums or renovations popping up everywhere, some of which will be part of the 2026 World Cup bid. These are the two best right now (one is still being built), but this isn't including the stadium/stadia that will need to be big enough for a World Cup final which would likely be in Toronto/Montreal, so that/those will obviously become our crown jewels.

(New) Mosaic Stadium; Regina, Saskatchewan (under construction)

Probably not quite world class but respectable.

Is it a dump? Probably. But I loved it there. A place where you can still stand on the terraces, swear without some uppity parent giving you 'don't say those nasty words around my precious little angels' look and where the smell of pies and bovril waft gently towards you from a wee rickety hut as half time approaches. If you miss the working man's game then going to grounds like this is as close as you'll get to finding it these days. The football is brutal to watch of course but it's good to escape the world of soulless all seater grounds once in a while.

As far as football grounds, this is the one I grew up going to in Richmond, VA

This, however is the stadium that made me into a sports fan

Tim Horton's Field in Hamilton. Officially opens this weekend. Not a bad little stadium but I can't see it being big enough to be able to be expandable for the WC bid.

I love Cappielow. Charming wee stadium.

Millerntor. Pictures don't really do it justice. Never seen a stadium like it. Plastered in graffiti and stickers. :smiley-laughing002:

I'd love to go there one day. I wonder if that place will be getting a major facelift any time soon. Or did they just rebuild a stand or something?

Also, this place is near the top of my list:

Rogers Arena, Vancouver. Home of my beloved Canucks.

Just learned of a development to build two towers attached to the arena and one across the freeway. Looks interesting.

That stadium looks cracking. Is that the equivalent of a European night when they dim the lights? :smiley-laughing002:

    Yea something like that. :50:

Speaking of this, Camp Nou renovation is going to be unbelievable. I'm going to wait to see a Barca game until it's done. :88:

While most have gone and made way for brand new super stadiums there are still a good view classic stadiums in Brazil.
