Should use Lennons tactics away from home or another skelping could be on the cards. Dont be fooled because we won 6-1 at the weekend.

Yes, if Mulgrew didn't play we would never have got beaten by that margin, he played a major role in every goal conceded, caused the red card, gave away two penalties, gave away possession constantly and shat it out of 50/50 tackles, there's no one else on the pitch that night that stood out as badly or caused anywhere near as much self destruction as he did.

The guy shouldn't be playing these games for us it's as simple as that, especially in midfield as he'll cost us again and it's like playing with a man down in the middle of the park.

Extra man in midfield after the debacle in the last round. I'd maybe start Denayer which I wouldn't have expected to say a few days ago. Ambrose, Mulgrew and Johansen in the middle all working hard.

Changed my mind.. we need three in the middle.

    Gordon
    Lustig Denayer Virgil Izaguirre
    Kayal Mulgrew Johansen
    McGregor....................... Commons
    Stokes

I rate Mulgrew higher than Biton and Berget is sacrificed out of the attackers to allow for a three man midfield.

Was Ambrose not given a one match suspension?

That's what I thought too. Professional fouls are only a one match ban.

I'd go with that, except I would give Pukki a go if fit in the lone role instead of Stokes, seems to stay onside more often than not and has some agility about him, got some skills as well. Can produce a decent finish when a chance comes his way as well, he's not prolific that's for sure, but then neither is Stokes at this level. That midfield looks really solid though and defense, think that team would get a result.

You just know though Stokes, Mulgrew and Commons will all start.

Mr.Consistent in our side. 2 bad games against Legia were totally out of character and I think he's back now. I don't rate Biton. Haven't seen much from him to suggest he's better than Mulgrew. Especially considering Mulgrew is good at either end of a free kick or corner.

Ambrose isn't suspended, and I just think he'll offer the back 4 more protection. Still not convinced about Biton and Kayal just misses out for me.

Come on mate, Mr Consistant? Don't make me laugh. He consistantly gives away possession if that's what you mean and is prone to huge * ups on the park, also has the touch of an elephant. Especially in Europe. That wasn't him being out of character, that was him being out of depth at this level and he will be a liability to our side once again should he play against Maribor. The major weak link in our side, Maribor will be rubbing their hands should they see his name in the teamsheet. Total hindrance. Also, when did he last get on the end of a free kick or a corner? And when did he even last hit a decent set piece because that was one of the biggest reasons for his inclusion and not they've all dried up and he's been shocking for ages at them, so much so that others now take the set pieces.
Well Ronny said he was unless he was mistaken. I would like Ambrose to play btw. Biton will soon prove what sort of player he is. A first teamer soon enough and will be sold for big money one day. Great presence in the middle.

Agree 100% on both Mulgrew and Biton. Biton looks ok but I really don't get the calls for him to start and for Wednesday I'd have Mulgrew, Johansen, Ambrose and Kayal all in the middle before him.

With Henderson and Brown in the squad as well I can't see him ever holding down a place in the starting 11.

You might be right, just always assumed a professional foul was just a one game ban. Think two is harsh.
