When interviewers (usually newsreaders or reporters)ask a question of somebody, and then cut them off half way through their answer, to go to something else, or even an ad break. If you dont have time for the * answer, dont ask the question.....so rude!

In Snooker when a player is snookered and fails several times to hit the desired ball, they then hit it at the 4th or 5th time of asking which somehow deserves a rapturous applause? Fair enough if it was the first attempt. I mean they do spend hours a day mastering the art of getting out these situations. So stupid.

Totally depends on the situation mate.. I've often seen some ridiculously difficult snookers to get out of so whether it takes them 1 or 8 goes at it, that deserves applause for even seeing the possibility to get out of it :smiley-laughing002:

Yeah, if it's a difficult one then I can understand the reception. Not a clear one-cushion escape though as it often is.

I think they applaud out of a sense of relief.......no one likes that miss * in snooker.
