Looking forward to No Man's Sky, although I don't know how the story will work - if there even is a proper story.

Hope the Dishonored thing is true, always wanted to play that but never got round to it. A PS4 version would definitely be a game I'll get.

 

No Man's Sky is a weird one. It looks good, but I don't actually see what the point is. The trailers have all literally been someone getting in a spaceship, flying to a random planet, walking about, then jumping in the spaceship and flying away again. I don't know if there's any sort of combat, or if it's just random exploration. I'm pretty sure there isn't a story, and it's meant to be like Minecraft - the world and exploration is the 'story'.

I think WiLD looks like it could be the most ambitious of the three games though. The idea of playing as pretty much any living thing in the game's world is interesting.

Dishonred's a really fun game, but there's still plenty of room for improvement. I think it was one of PS Plus games last month for PS3 (or maybe it's this month).




Anyway, some details have leaked about the new Assasins Creed game ahead of the games reveal at 4.30pm.

Assassins Creed: Syndicate

The new Assasins Creed is supposedly going to feature two protagonists, who you'll be able to switch between whilst exploring the world (like GTA V).

Apparently the characters will be the previously rumoured Jacob Frye, and his sister Evie. Both characters are said to be involved in the criminal underworld of 19th Century London, hence the Syndicate title. Jacob is said to be the 'lead' character with 75% of the missions focusing on him, whilst the other 25% will feature his sister.

Kotaku is the source for this rumour, and they have a pretty good track record where Assassins Creed is concerned (they leaked the details of Unity before it was announced).

 

Ubiosft's The Division has been delayed to 2016.

Not really bothered about that game, from what I've read about it - much like No Man's Sky - I have no idea what the story is. But the number of games being delayed now is ridiculous. They should be more realistic with their release dates rather than setting one only to delay.

 

I honestly don't understand the hype surrounding The Division at all. It looks like it might be an impressive game technically, but it just seems rather dull and aimless. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets released a year or two down the line to middling reviews.

Rocksteady have released some behind the scenes/sneak-peak videos of the upcoming game.

DiRT: Rally

The lead designer of the game has expressed his desire to bring the latest entry in the DiRT series to consoles at some point in the near future. In an interview with Red Bull Games Paul Coleman had this to say about the future of the game (which is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access)

Following recent speculation, the CEO of Konami, Hideki Hayakawa, has confirmed that the publisher will be focusing it's efforts on mobile games going forward.

It'll be interesting to see how this effects the Metal Gear & PES series in the future. All of Konami's major franchises (Metal Gear, PES, Silent Hill & Castlevania) can be adapted to suit mobile gaming, but I doubt (especially in the case of the first three) that the respective fanbases will be that interested in watered down versions of their favourite games.

According to the Managing Director of PlayStation UK, Sony are treating the upcoming game (developed by Hello Games) as if it were a first party game.

The Walking Dead: Season 3

Telltale have announced that The Walking Dead: Season 3 won't be released this year, but have teased the possibility of something TWD related for later this year.

Initial speculation is that we might be getting a '400 Days' styled DLC for Season 2. Hopefully, if that is the case, it turns out to be better integrated with Season 3, than 400 Days was in Season 2.

It has been announced that the first gameplay footage will be revealed on the 15th May at E3 2015.

 

The dual play in Arkham Knight looks fantastic, can't wait to try it out.

 

Ive went off multiplayer shooters in recent years but i'll definitely be getting Rainbow six seige, i absolutely loved vegas when it came out.

 

I'm still 50/50 at the moment. I very rarely play multiplayer these days, and I've never really been a fan of games which don't have any singleplayer element, but this does look interesting.

I actually read a funny/stupid story recently about this game. Apparently Ubisoft received complaints from people, complaining that the female hostage shown in the gameplay footage was portraying/reinforcing a negative gender stereotype. Supposedly in response to this, the developers changed the female hostage into a man for future demos.

 

Is Dishonored for PS3 a game I should inverts some time into?

 

Yes one of the best games from last gen

 

Good stuff, downloaded it for free from Playstation Plus last month so will give it a shot

Minecraft is probably the most obvious one that I can think of. PC Gamer made a list of 'Relaxing Games', there might be something there that interests you.

I've always found open-world games to be pretty relaxing. These are probably my top picks

Oblivion - A bit dated, but I always found the world & music very relaxing/calming and combat is easily avoided (and if you need to fight the difficulty can be turned down so everything dies from one hit).

Skyrim - Naturally similar to Oblivion. You're more likely to run into fights, but again it's easily avoided.

Fallout 3 - More action-y than the previous two games. It can be relaxing, if you try and do some of the smaller unmarked quests, or even just wander about the dozens of random mostly irrelevant locations in the game.

Red Dead Redemption - I know it's not on Xbone or PC but this game is great for just wandering about, and not really doing anything.

Just Cause 2 - Very action orientated, but this used to be my go-to game when I was bored and couldn't be bothered with anything heavy. Just going about hijacking random vehicles (be they cars, planes or boats) and exploring the map was great fun.

I'm sort-of in the same boat when in comes to Minecraft. It's fun with others, but I don't think I could play it by myself for very long.

Fallout 3 is a great game for relaxing. The vanilla game is big enough that you can just wander around aimlessly, but still find something interesting; and the music is amazing. The Point Lookout DLC is great for that as well. It's a little more horror-ish but I enjoyed walking about the map and doing all the little side quests.

 

That maybe had something to do with it... I was like.

Maybe give it a shot later, going to try get into a game of FM which I have also been unable to do recently.

 

Just went up to Glasgow and got The Witcher 3. Going to get stuck into it later.

 

Give us some feedback on it mate been looking at that myself

 

Played about 2 and a half hours so far. It's been excellent so far. Looks like the map is huge and there's plenty of exploring to be done and quests to complete.

The combat is good as well.
