When he was at Juventus he trained on his own on a specially tailored regime to ensure he kept himself fit as possible. His professionalism over the years means he still has a few years left in him I reckon. Plus he is Italian.

I seriously doubt the club would do that, nor do I think most fans would expect that.

If he wants to come to the club, and the manager wants him, and the price is right, then why not? Lets see what he has to offer in a six month deal or something, which would cover the Champions League group stages at least.

He's well past his best but who cares! Would be a great PR signing and his presence in the dressing room and on the training field would help other players.

I know what you are saying but I doubt if he would come to CP for 10-15 K a week but I could be wrong ?

Even if we were to give him a straight up wage of 40,000k a week for a year we could pay him just in jerseys because you know they will be fans wholl buy both the new ones and get his name on them them, they'll be the people who passed on the home jersey last year but will go and get just because they'll get his name on the back and then theyll be all of the del piero fans who will buy them

Del Piero for me. Totti was a solid player but lacked that bit of magic Del Pierro had.

On Pirlo, he seems to get better with age, was at his best only a couple years ago imo.

He was obviously on good money at Juve but he could have earned so much more by leaving but he didn't. I dont think money is what motivates him

I think I'd pick Totti even now he's still top notch most of his 1st touches are out of this world but glad he stayed in Roma it's just something nice about seeing good players stay with one club

Totti for me but it is a close call.

I actually think not many people appreciated Pirlo until Euro 2012 when there was suddenly a massive explosion of love for him.

Del Piero for me - always absolute class. Totti is a weird one, he has always been consistently great but did he ever have an absolute stand-out season? Pirlo is great aswell but I never thought of him as good as Del Piero.

I'd pick Totti but it's a very close call. Del Piero would be second.

I always wonder what Totti would have achieved if he had left Roma. Often been held back by them with only one Seria A.

Del Piero, as good as he is/has been was fortunate to be in a many good Juve sides.

Right thats me blown right out the water. :52: Never knew that. I always just thought of him as a great player but never the star guy. He was great but kind of a cult figure aswell, a really likeable guy at that.

Maybe i've formed that opinion because Roma have never been the top side in Italy for a prolonged period, its always been the milan clubs, juventus, Lazio etc.

Aye, I wonder that aswell, he could have won so much. But in saying that Italian football was quite varied and wide-open back in the 90's/early 2000's so Roma could have went from 7th to league champions within a season - it was mental.

Him and Del Piero were cracking in the 98-99 season, for lacklustre Roma and Juventus sides.
