My sides are hurting here.

 

I honestly just don't get it....... it's evident how highly rated Samaras is..... then you only have to look CL qualifiers, Spartak Away, Sammy Sunday, Barcelona etc, clubs linked with him and what not. It's obvious he's probably a level (or 2 in some cases) ahead of 90% of our players.

The fact that Strachan and Lenny both trusted him, and considering Deila's comments on him and the fact he rates him, to me it all adds up to being a no brainer. DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO GET HIM BACK!

Sammy - 14
Stokes - 1(?)

Im not saying that Sammy is the best player in the world, but he is easily better then Stokes.

 

Depends what your are wanting. Think domestically its unquestionable that Stokes has been better than Sammy, just as it is unquestionable that Sammy has been better in Europe.

As a Striker

104(14) games - 36(3) goals.

As a Winger

144(33) games - 38(10) goals.

Stokes over that same time period.

156(20) games - 69(2) goals.

Stokes has probably a lot more game time in the SPL as well, more starts etc.

 

Why do Celtic fans always want to go backwards? Its time to move on. Think Deila will try and build a squad in which there is no one superstar but everyone in the team knows their job, does it well and we'll play good football. We don't need Sammy, but we do need fresh blood.

 

Losing Samaras and keeping Stokes, Griffiths, Commons and the likes near our first team is hardly a step forwards. We clearly don't have the resources or finances to move on from what Sammy gives us.

If we had millions upon millions to spend this summer then "move on" would be a reasonable statement to make, if we had guys ready to come in and improve on Samaras then I'd agree. The fact is we don't, we're far worse off from an attacking stand point without Samaras.

That's a nonsense argument in this sense mate when Sammy showed how valuable he was on the wing and how great he was there, especially in Europe.

 

Messi must have been a bad winger since he's been moved to the centre.

 

I've never seen OH BHOY comment on here other than to show venomous hatred for Georgios Samaras this guy is spending a large portion of his life wallowing in hatred of a player who played for the team he "supports" which is a small insight into the bigger problems with the insanity of humanity.

Aye and if he turns up for atleast 3 of those games then we are back to the same old same old,we need to move on and Samaras isn't the answer
