Callum McGregor

  1. I don't really rate him as much either. I do think if he was foreign though and came from a "big team's" youths, we'd be wetting ourselves. I think it's because we've seen so many promising youngsters only to turn out *.

  2. Good point. Although with McGregor in particular, I think he's a late bloomer, as it were. He will do well with us and come onto a good game, he knows what it's like doing really well then having a bad patch, his bad patch lasted ages now he's back doing well again. He'll have learned a lot from that, hopefully.
I rate him and I think he can prove to be a good player for the team. He loves the club aswell which is important and shouldn't be underestimated. :50:

  3. For me that's not the case.

Genuinely just don't rate him. I think the whole "If his name was McGregorinho you'd love him" argument as well is a bit of a cop out that folk use to defend homegrown or British players.

Doesn't make a difference to me if he is North Korean or from Coatbridge to be honest:smiley-laughing002:

  4. Thought he looked better against Fenerbahce. Rather he started than Armstrong

    McGregor Allan Forrest

  5. He should be in beside Bitton on Sunday..

    Never a winger..

Been fairly impressed with him anytime he's played this season, and I didn't rate him at all last season.

Hope he keeps his place for now.

  6. The exact same. Thought he was pish, in fact he was pish but he's been a pleasant surprise at home to Ajax and away at Caley. Thought he was decent enough last night out wide as well but deserves the central spot. .

  7. he only turned 22 on june there so he is still young.glad hes doing well at the minute.

  8. He's limited, but he works very hard, appears to have a great attitude and is a goal threat. I'm not sure he's an intelligent enough footballer to ever be a regular starter for us, but he can certainly do a job for Celtic.

  9. I think his intelligence on the ball is what bumps him up a bit? Certainly from central midfield.

  10. Think so? I wouldn't say he's a particularly good player, technically, and I've not seen much evidence of clever decision-making. Maybe I've not seen enough of his games.

I see him as an industrious player who can come in and do a job. A bit like Jamie Smith (remember him?) was years ago.

  11. Jamie Smith is a good example but I think he's the same, they're clever wee players. Good with the game infront of them, have just enoughba ility to be a bit of a pest.

  12. still dont see him as anything better than a squad player never really a first 11 player if we every fancy getting back in the champions league

  13. When he scores early in Europe we always seem to lose

  14. Hes been great today.

  15. Loses the ball too easily in our own half, but decent going forward

  16. Impressed by him today

  17. O'Halloran nearly scored from 1 1st half but he was decent today..

Still worth the place with Broony and now Bitton out..

  18. I like his style from central midfield.

  19. Will be long forgotten when Brown and Biton are back , is never going to get into the 3 attacking mid positions in front of

    Armstrong
    Rogic
    Johansen
    Commons
    GMS
    Forrest
    Allan
