Anyone suggesting this is a knee * thing is completely disregarding his form over the last year.

    Nowhere near good enough.

I know mate think it was mid last season where there was a poll on here one who was the best keeper between Gordon, Forster and boruc and Gordon was voted top if I remember correctly.

If truth be told the last two years of Boruc at Celtic were frightening decline.
I haven't seen any real consistent evidence of a decline in Gordon of that magnitude.

I was never really convinced by Gordon even when he was in fine form, he was still conceding a lot of goals in Europe, some very questionable ones. Malmo completely made my mind up though, the goals we conceded proved he wasn't commanding enough for me. It's been an entire year now that I've been unhappy with Gordon as our number 1 goalkeeper, it's not knee-* for me at all.

Keepers can go quare after a couple of mistakes. Its all about gettin the confidence back. Look at Artur. Ups and downs.Petr cech? Confidence. The ability is there. Rodgers can surely gee him up. Motivation is Rodgers speciality:shamrock:

I still think he has it to recover. Maybe I'm wrong. I doubt it though. He's made of stern stuff and is a top goalie IMO:shamrock:

Don't think Cech has went a month in poor form never mind a year.

Boruc gave up at Celtic, by his own alky fat * admission.

I want him replaced but I'm a wee bit concerned about unsettling him with rumours before wednesday's game.

De Vries is apparently out for a few weeks so won't go straight in to the team.

It does seem strange timing, I mean it must be fairly obvious De Vries isn't leaving Forest to sit on the bench and play back up to Gordon, but he's also injured so can't play in the CL qualifiers. So Gordon is going in to the most important games of our season knowing he's about to get papped out the side. For a keeper already very low on confidence it doesn't seem like a great move, unless of course he starts to fight for his life.

I think even if he was in decent form he'd still be looking at a place on the bench in the near future.

His ability with the ball isn't good enough for Rodgers and anyone can see that. At his age, it is not something that is going to be remedied.

Last year in europe if I remember right he got beaten at his near post a few times. And this season he is coming off his line and flapping at fresh air......its almost like he has said to efe....its ok ill take over as team * up.
he is still a good keeper but maybe needs some bench time to kick his *.

How much do you think we would get for the big man if he asks to leave?

Most likely how much we paid for De Vries, £300-500k.

    I don't think he'd ask to leave.

Competition can only be good and he is a professional. I still rate Gordon and probably always will, think he is an excellent shot stopper and a good pro. Would like to see him stick around, won't be on a massive wage either.

Getting beat at your near post isn't on and I'm sure it's happened a few times now.

    Gordon out :fear:

Yep did poorly for the first, couldn't have done much about the second though.

Thought both their goals were completely preventable so fingers crossed for the away leg.
