Come on now mate, that's a bit harsh!

He's gave his all in the Celtic jersey since he arrived here, and after such a horrendous time.

As much as I think he needs to be replaced at the moment, I still have a * load of respect for Gordon.

Don't need to train him. He's on his way outta here. Brendan knows he's useless, and can't be trusted. I'm jush surprised he hasn't dropped him tbh.

Maybe a bit harsh yeah, il give you that.
But point stands, hes pish, flaps like a little birdie and can't command *. He's our worst player right now. Then Armstrong.
There's always one player in the team who's the worst. Just a fact, it used to be izzy, now it's Gordon. The worst players should always be getting phased out.

he is a good keeper but for some reason his is way off form...happens to everyone....we badly need someone to take over or at least threaten his place in the team.

1 wildcard after submitting your squad between each round, Sinclair was signed before the deadline and therefore was named in the squad for the playoff round.

    No.2 Keeper beckons for Gordon.

I'm almost 100% certain that in the two areas Brendan wants to improve on in the team a GK will most certainly be one of them. And Gordon knows it.

Gordon should still be back up if we sign another keeper, and even if we don't i'm not exactly panicking going into this season with him as no. 1.

He's gone off the boil a bit, should be peaking as a goalie but seems more unsure of himself and less commanding these days, dunno why but hopefully Rodgers can instil some confidence back into him (he seems to have done it to everybody else)

Distribution is going to be a big problem, like it or not.

    experience.

Not too bothered if he stays or goes. For a number 2, think Fasan and Bailly are decent enough and to be honest, how many games do we expect our number 2 to get per season. Probably less than 10 between them and even then it will mostly be cup games.
Not sure whether Gordan will stay as number 2 or leave us. Also don't think many top teams would take him unless he is willing to go to English Championship. Maybe Rotherham?

Had a very good run in Europa League group two seasons ago, but then blew it against Inter in the k/o stage.
Apart fae that, for me he's never really been anything above what I'd expect from a keeper at Celtic.

With Kolo and Erik at the back and young Tierney left and Lustig at right back, our Defence should be able to cope with the quality of opposition in the CL.

With a half-decent draw in the group stages (assuming we get there), I don't see why this team cannot qualify for the last 16.

My only concern is Gordon. I really hope we don't sign someone in their 30s' to "compete" with CG for the no.1 (as per todays rumours).

We should be signing someone 24/25 like we did with Boruc/Forster, to outright replace Gordon and move him on.

He's played his part and the Rodgers' era needs an absolute solid reliable no.1, which CG is not. Just too many weaknesses and is getting on now.

    What he said

Would also add, a keeper usually perform well in front of a settled defense, we have not had a settled defense - when i think of Gordon on form I think of VVD & Denayer - so the Rogers effect may just benefit defenders and keeper alike

Even when the defence was settled he still punted it :56: needs to play it to feet.

Nah he plays it to the defence quite a lot, just doesn't do it particularly well or in the right situation.

He is very good at starting counters with long throws though.

Just with at his feet. That's not the most annoying thing though, he parries shots back into the middle of the box and is susceptible at his front post. Also has been flapping at high balls like made for nigh on two years. Doesn't seem to turn up in big games either.

Not good enough but has his positives.

Good goalkeepers are very hard to find, like gold dust or like trying to find a good left back, almost impossible.Look how many big clubs have gone through a stack of goalies like Arsenal for instance, finding a good young goalkeeper is even harder, because goalkeepers learn their craft through cognitive experience, tuition, observations and rigorous self inspection, that takes to time to absorb.

In the meantime we should not say or do anything that might undermine Gordon's confidence with two of the most important games coming up in our club's recent history.
