Great player - seems likes years ago now.
    Wanyama and Foster
    All excellent buys
All purchased and sold as soon as possible for Lawells CV

Now name one aside Griffiths we actually have!

the fact - you are thinking about names of decent players we have actually paid for in signing recent years, shows how low Celtic and the Scottish game in general has sank.

In Celtic case - there was no need!

    Reality check!
When there was no need - Lawell and co have dragged Celtic down to the point where Sevco are a credible threat this season.

If any Celtic fan denies that - they are a literal muppet, if they can't see it they are a blind muppet.

Celtic should be out of sight - still can be if fans start demanding more and not bleet along like cloned sheeplets.

What do you suggest the supporters do?

Protest? Boycott games? Stop buying the kit?

Tired of people saying it's because of the defence in front of him.

Boruc/Forster were absolute rocks, didn't matter who was playing in front of him or if they were playing well.

Gordon just doesn't look composed to me. I don't even buy that he's a good shot stopper. He has let some very poor shots in at the near post and often has to palm shots that I would expect him to hold.

Shot stopping is his best attribute and even that is quite average imo. His communication, kicking, ease on the ball, command of the area are all poor.

20 year old O'Connell looked far more composed than our experienced international keeper.

It's just strange how he was so excellent in his first season keeping us in Europe bar the horror show against Inter he made literally no errors all year, yet the past season he looked so shaky all the time being beaten at his near post fumbling cross balls. Honestly first season I thought he was better than Forster as an all round keeper always talking to his defence collecting crosses coming off his line and his shot stopping was superb. I don't know what has happened but something must have changed.

i cant stop comparing him to Rab Douglas . seems to pull of the odd super save {douglas in valencia was the same }but prone to too many errors and as some have said on here trys to go for the hollywood save and * it mosst times positioning is all wrong ...if/when we qualify should get a new keeper in .

Don't think he warrants this much abuse, I don't think he is that great either but to say we should replace him with a Gibraltan teams keeper is madness.
Yes his kicking is *, scared to come off his line half the time and hesitates a lot but his shot stopping is class, made a few cracking saves last night to keep it at 1-0.

We can get in better but don't think replacing him is a priority just now.

Why are people saying replacing him is not a priority. It has to be a priority, one mistake from him costs us the game. If the forwards, midfielders and even defenders make a mistake we may get away with it. If he * up, as he has done often, it can cost us potential millions in CL money. And on the other hand a good quality keeper can keep us in competions. I think it is as much a priority as a centre half.

Tend to agree. Had a good first season(minus the extremely * game against Inter at home) but has steadily declining since. We should start looking for replacement

Where's all this come from? I happen to think he played pretty well last night, in fact he kept the score down single handedly at times. He's a great keeper. Yes he makes mistakes sometimes but no player is perfect.

    Fs.

O'Connell composed... he gave the ball away via straight under hit passes countless times and was at fault more than gordon for the goal

Boric was fat and * for a whole season in Strachan's last year and Forster never learned how to come off his line until he moved to Southamptons, it wasn't like they were all perfect. Forster edges it for me due to his consistency in his time with us and he spent a significant amount of time with Ambrose as first choice. Gordon isn't as poor as you're making out though.

    I'd agree with this.

All of them have had their poor points. Gordon is still the poorest out of the 3 but Boruc had the odd howler in him. So does Forster. Every keeper does.

Yes, lately it has become more common with Gordon but I think we should be worrying about other areas first, personally.

Boruc was a lot better than any keeper we've had in the modern era, we were really spoilt - at a point he was one of the best keepers in the world. Forster will never get to the level Boruc was at, in regards to Gordon he's a liability.
