I think he done the right thing. If he didn't bring him down they could have scored an identical goal to Samaras's at mordor.

Good save earlier from the free kick that went low.

Screaming at his wall before it aswell, love seeing that passion.

Never a red card but he was silly to attempt that.

    Never a sending off.

Never touched irvine, plus the defenders had it covered.

Celtic TV was talking about how that wasn't even a free kick :smiley-laughing002:

If it was the opposite way about I'd be expecting a red. Think we're very lucky their, he never should have been that far out anyway. Shocking decision making, decent save for the freekick after it though.

If anything it was a freekick for us. Irvine was making a reckless attempt to get our ball.

Showing some of his best form in the second half with a couple of good saves.

I still think he is sooo good, he might still leave before that contract expires!Players of his standard do not go unnoticed.

I'm hoping he's made enough money now that he rates being in Scotland playing for Celtic in the CL higher than going down South and playing for the likes of Stoke. Although he strikes me as the type of guy who might fancy a crack at foreign football..

I thought it was a definite red card, Collum gave the decision to the bigger club. Gordon needs to be a bit smarter than that on Wednesday night.

I can't see Gordon leaving Celtic either. I'm assuming he's got a family; he'll want to settle now and earn a good wage at Celtic surely? Unless it's for mega-money I think he'll stay.

I've said the same. He's what, 32 now? He'll be playing till he's 40+ and I can see him doing it in a Celtic shirt.

So long as we can get into the CL each year and progress as a team, then I can see him wanting it even more.

He even said that he didn't want to retire with his money and that playing football is more important to him.

And if he's getting picked for the national team whilst he's with us, then what other ambitions are there?

CL football, league titles, massive stadium and fan base, national team selection, already played in the EPL.

He'll stick around for some time, I'm sure of it.

Gordon seems like one of those guys who will appreciate the chance Celtic took on him. He also seems a big family man and might be happy with being so close to home.

Might be wrong but just the impression I get.
