  1. To be fair he said since.

  2. Was raging when it appeared that we were going to replace big Fraz with him. Just shows I know * all :smiley-laughing002:

  3. we need to get him on a contract and not pay as u play or we could lose him for * all

  4. He trained with the darkside...

a few great saves dont make him a legend.

In saying that.... he really looks every inch the keeper that moved to the english prem all those years ago.

We should throw some holy water on him and if he doesnt burst into flames then we got ourselves a keeper (see what I did there).

  5. How do you know the details of his contract? :smiley-laughing002:

I'm glad he's came in so smoothly. Saying that, fans are getting a little too carried away, calling him the best value signing, etc. Let's not forget the likes of Larsson, Agathe, Moravcik, etc.

  6. Well pleased with what I've seen so far.
Think it is Gordon himself who deserves all the credit for getting himself back to this level. Not keen to give much credit to the board- sometimes you get lucky and the cheap option pays off.

  7. :50:

  8. * brilliant signing.a lot of people on here dismissed him without giving him a chance.glad hes proving everybody wrong.its like fraser forster hasn't left.still early days but good signs hope he doesn't get injured and is our keeper for years to come.

  9. I think a lot of credit to Stevie Woods too, seems to be a terrific 'keeper coach. Gordon was wonderful last night.

  10. when did woods become our goalkeeping coach?celtic had * keepers for years.then we have been lucky in recent times boruc, forster and now gordon.

  11. Away from all the negativity for a minute.

Gordon has been a superb signing. Must admit, when he first signed I was a bit * off, thinking it was the "cheap option" again. Well, he's changed by mind by some way.

He was outstanding last night. That double save was stunning.

  12. It's Stevie woods who deserves the credit

The thing is it wasn't him being out for two years that really bothers me like most people yes it was a main factor but it was the fact I never actually seen what everybody else saw in him especially when he played us with hearts he was woefull think people just took a few big games he played for scotland and thought he was a keeper worth a lot of value

Funny how I thought that but knew forster would come good Atleast it's not the opposite this time

  13. Well they get pelters when it doesn't so shouldn't they get any credit when it does?

  14. Please stay fit. Could be the biggest coup in years.

  15. Good to see Robbie Neilson doesn't want to keep our best players in Scotland.

Neilson: Gordon belongs in Premier League

Robbie Neilson, the Hearts head coach, is adamant that Craig Gordon should be playing in the Barclays Premier League, describing his former Tynecastle team-mate as arguably the best goalkeeper in Britain.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence since joining Celtic in the close season, belying two years out of the game with a devastating knee injury to become his new club's undisputed No.1.

His display in the 2-2 Europa League draw against Red Bull Salzburg last Thursday was vintage Gordon, making a series of stunning saves to ensure Ronny Deila's men escaped Austria with a point.

Neilson watched Gordon leave Tynecastle for Sunderland in a £9m deal in 2007 - a record for a British goalkeeper at the time - and has been thrilled by his revival this term, which has also heralded a return to the Scotland set-up.

And the Hearts manager, who hopes his side can find a way past the towering stopper this evening, believes Gordon is destined for a return south of the border. "I'm delighted for Craig Gordon," he said. "He was obviously at Hearts with me and I know he's a great keeper. If he can get himself anywhere near fit then he's the top keeper in Scotland, if not Britain.

"He had some fantastic saves against Red Bull Salzburg. Looking at the way he's playing just now, he's got the opportunity if he does well to move back to the English Premier League - where he belongs."
