It really is down to fitness with Gordon. No one can doubt his talent, he is more than good enough for us, for many clubs, and for any level we play at. The question is fitness, and injury.
I really feel he is over his injury, which was a bad one, but he seems never to have lost the ability he had. It took one shot save for me to feel comfortable with him at the weekend. I'm 100% sure he will more than succeed here.

 

By the way, what was his injury again?

Had he been an outfield player, probably would have ended his career completely.
It may reoccur, but he seems over it. He's quick at coming out - tries to play sweeper keeper - so I assume he is confident in himself and his knee.

What a story with Gordon, like a riches to rags and back to riches again as he goesmfrom football's scrapheap to touching distance away from playing in Europe's top competition.

Guy must have absolute balls of steel to keep going after 2 year out.....look at how it's paying off.
