There's nothing to suggest Collins or Kennedy were "forced" on him, you're just at it now.

Do you not think for one second that it was discussed at Ronny's interview for the Celtic job that Collins was being brought in, and Kennedy was in place as his coach? Does it not enter your mind that he agreed to it before he signed on the dotted line?

Going by your logic, it would be "logical" to suggest that every player brought in under Deila's reign was "forced" upon him, team selections were "forced" upon him, and probably even the Ronny Roar was "forced" upon him through some sort of PR campiagn by the evil board.

What a * moron you are, do you not actually READ before your wee hamster-wheel brain goes into motion? :56::56:

Here's a wee extract from my previous reply to you - at least try to stick yer Mr. Magoo eyes on it before your future reply:

I'll say it again - neither you nor your wee * moon unit pals have nothing of concrete proof to suggest that Collins or Kennedy were FORCED upon Deila.

Our former manager, a multiple title winner, cup winner and who managed to take us to the last sixteen of the Champions League found it difficult to get a decent job down south.

I'm not sure Deila's time with us will have many Championship clubs dashing for the phone upon hearing that he'll be available in the summer.

I see a move back to a smaller league on the cards, maybe Norway or somewhere similar.

That statement from Celtic is really quite clever. Ronnies decision to go ? Aye right ! He was probably told his rolling contract wasn't being renewed and given the opportunity to decide to go rather than being sacked. This now gives the board an excuse if he should have a massive * up in the last 5 games and loses the league. They can come out with (it wasn't our fault) Ronnie downed tools when he knew he was leaving. Not that I think that will happen but as I said the board are covering themselves.

Daibhi - I think it was more that clubs in England didn't fancy any of the "controversy" that followed with Lennon.

Look at guys like Alex Neil - did literally nothing compared to Lennon, yet ended up at bigger clubs than he.

I don't think I have liked a failing Celtic manager much as RD. He might be * at his job but he has acted like a pro the whole time and continued to do so with today's statement.

We should all of been backing him regardless as we have a title to tie up but it would be nice to see him get a good send off for trying his best for our club.

Was coming here to say exactly this. I'm happy he's going but I am not going to dance on the man's grave. Don't feel great all around about this.

Controversy? I'm not so sure about that to be honest. What controversy follows Lennon in England that would be bad enough to have clubs actively overlook him?

Daibhi - The whole media perception of him - not mines.

Seen by many as a "hothead", "troublemaker" etc etc.

It's the only plausible reason I can think of clubs overlooking him - as you say, a CL quality manager with League titles and cup wins under his belt as a boss - then Alex Neil walks into the Norwich job after what, one season as a manager, and half a season as a top flight manager in the Scottish Premiership?

Didn't Neil have connections with someone quite high up at Norwich though? Someone who'd been monitoring him for a while?

I honestly think that Lennon found it difficult because the football people down south look on our managers in the same way as they do the majority of our players. With bemusement and disdain.

Unfortunately, despite any mitigating circumstances, Lennon's spell at Bolton has proven those officials at other clubs somewhat correct in not hiring him.

Neil is a one-off in that regard.

    * knows about the connection mate, first I've heard of that.

England definitely does look down their noses towards Scottish-based football folk, but how Lennon can be overlooked, and Alex Neil not - beggars belief.

Tbf, Bolton are * and they were when Lennon took the job. I think he thought if he keeps them up then there's a chance another club will look at him or he could try climb the league.

Sure he regrets taking the job now.

Like I said, I think Neil was being watched by Norwich and that there's a connection there. Can't remember the details though.

Wait, do you mean Neil Lennon or Alex Neil had the connection?

Its a bit much to call a manger who had had only 2 jobs a one off. There is a long list of managers who have has success followed by failure only to go on to have more success.

Alex Neil. I remember that the connection he had with someone at the club is why they went for him right away basically.
