there's every chance the unthinkable could happen with him in place. He needs to go now so we can prepare for the new season, someone mentioned Michael O'Neil earlier, that's a good shout.

That makes sense mate, good shout. Statement would at least let us know the script.

I understand that McLaughlin is only giving an opinion which he wants to pretend holds some substance.

Didnt Michael o'neil sign a 4 year contract with Northern ireland a few months back? Think Roy Keane will absolutely be our new manager at the end of the year

I had sais earlier that Danny McGrain should be dropped as 1st team coach.
Why not get rid of Deila and make McGrain interim manager until at least end of season.

Bring in Lennon, give him 200k to get us over the line and give the fans something to cheer about. You'd make it back in extra ticket sales in the last 2 home games probably..

or Jim McGuinness. Even Jimmy Carr would not give the rest of Scottish football as many laughs if he was manager.

He's been as good as sacked since we lost to Aberdeen away, he knew his time was up after the game yesterday during his pre match interview. No point in having him stick around for the run in when you could get a replacement manager and in start setting up for the CL qualifiers a lot earlier.

All things considered, this guy might just be the worst managerial appointment we have ever made. Hes a total *. I hope the many celticv fans who jumped on the ronny cult bandwagon are more careful in future. They bought his big talk.

The board need to fire him and his two * halfwit assistants. They are as clueless as the Auchenhowie Gardener and his two assistants were for sevco. They need to make a statement of principle that its just unacceptable to perform that poorly for so long. The league will take care of itself.

Where you not still saying he should stay recently?

No one wants him there, the players and fans included.

I cant understand this get a new man in now give him time to assess the squad, lets be honest it is not going to take Jock * Stein to work out who is not up to it in our current squad. Anyone who watches our games will have a right idea who is up to it and who isnt. The league is over in 5 weeks then its holiday time until halfway through the euros so its nonsensical to pay off ronny and bring in a new man now. Give it till end of the season part ways respectfully and bring in the new man.

Because I don't see there being any other option than a combination of, or one of Collins/Kennedy taking over for the remainder of the season, and that would be just as bad.

Those players would likely associate both Kennedy and Collins with Deila, so we'd be snookered anyway.

It depends on what you mean by "recently"? When we were winning the league and still in the cup? Yeah, I said that a league and cup double along with a victory over Rangers would likely buy him some time.

He'd have probably been given the Champions League qualifiers at least if he'd done that.

i wouldn't be so sure about that. folk are pig sick. my dad has been a season ticket holder since Tommy Burns first season and he's not renewing next season. you value the huns too much.

Nobody is suggesting Collins and Kennedy taking over because they are part of the problem. They should be gone with Deila right now.

what about McIntyre as interim? McGrain? Davie Hay? McGuinness? All much better options than leaving lame duck deila in charge for 5 games.

It makes no difference to any payoff wether he goes now or in the summer. He is on a 1-year rolling contract, hence he always has a year left on any given day. We will negotiate a payoff with him when he does leave but it won't be a stumbling block to him leaving.

I keep saying this, but I don't believe there are no options beside Collins/Kennedy. It would be an almost unheard of level of incompetence by the board to have not sounded out possible short term replacements.

I don't value the Huns at all, but the facts speak for themselves. What do you think the demand for tickets would have been like had we been playing Inverness in the semi-final rather than Rangers? Especially considering the season we've had?

Next season sees two home games against the Huns, and that'll be enough to draw a lot of lapsed fans out of the woodwork, I guarantee it.

Yeah, I don't really see that happening.
