The Ronny Deila Thread

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Glasgow_Bhoy88, Jun 6, 2014.

  1. Crazy stuff for sure, almost as crazy as people thinking we should try and find a manager who tells the board and shareholders what the * script is.

Which shareholders? Also my way would mean we would have more experience across the board meaning that we have more chance of getting the CL money which is good for everyone the suits and foreign banks included. And yes getting a football man in to tell the suits how it is, is a good thing for a football club, certainly preferable to the suits interfering with the football side of things anyway which is happening right now. But hey if you want to stick your head in the sand and present your rear end upwards then you work away.

No he was sacked after Aberdeen like people said he was gonna be if we lost.

  5. Owen is at the forefront of BT and being paid Millions. He should be better, but he's not..

He's hilariously dull, and never makes a decent point. I cringe everytime I listen to him..

Head and shoulders above :56:, he's definitely a head above him, * size of his canister..

  6. My head is not in the sand but i understand in the real world the employee does not hand out the orders.

Would you accept someone telling you how to run you're own company or setting out the rules....i doubt it.

    But good luck with that.

  9. Here is my biggest worry. The man preached about a 4-3-3 formation from the day he walked in the door. We haven't signed one player who fits into those 2 wide positions. We don't even have wide men for a 4-2-3-1.

We also need to make some harsh decisions on some attacking midfielders. Some unpopular sales will need to be made because there are far too many.

I think you already know all this and you just like arguing and trying to undermine me for your own craic. If you dont know why having a football man in control of the football side with no interference from the bean counters then I cant really explain it to you because you will never get it. Our suits are directly influencing the types of players we sign and more importantly the kind we dont sign. You need experience and plenty of it. Our suits disagree because they demand high wages and have little sell on potential.

You are right rank and file employee's do not set the rules but a football manager is like a specialist position and is nowhere near a rank and file employee. It is the single most important role in the whole club. And to answer your question if I had my own company and I hired say a java developer I would let him get on with it because he would be an enterprise level programmer. If you hire a specialist employee whos knows what they are doing you let them do it otherwise they will work in a proper workplace that will let them get on with it.

When else was he asked to give an interview or answer questions? :97:

  12. Yes the manager is important but look at what happened when we gave MON free rule over everything football.

We got some great results and had a great run in europe but at the end of it all...and it did end...we was badly in debt and took us many years to pay it off.

Leeds gave their manager free reign on signings and spent 90 million and that too came to a end.

Even the biggest of EPL clubs do not have managers who run the roost, yes there is some very big egos running around but none of the managers have the power in the club you seem to think we should have here.

Yes you might have java man in doing the work but you're not trying to tell me he would have control to hire anyone he wanted on any wage he wanted and the spending would be up to him.

But as we know the problems we have just now are not down to lack of money but lack of manager who knows how to get the team working for him.

  13. I'm sure Ronnie will get things going....:56:

Wow I am astonished at that response I really am. I want to hire a football manager who has zero interference from the boardroom. I am not advocating giving anyone a blank check. And you make the connection that doing things properly will put us in serious debt. We can spend our own money on the right players instead of buying projects in bulk.

The death of a certain club has really gotten to some of our supporters in the sense that people are happy to play it safe and do what they are told as long as we are never liquidated. If this is how you choose to live feared of death you may as well be dead. What has happened to your ambition?

edit just for clarity our manager has total control within his budget of course.

  16. Some people still don't seem to grasping the concept here.

This board, under the auspices of resident vampire Dermot Desmond, have one again dismissed REAL fan concerns over the running of OUR club.

Just as when Bankier called the fans "criminally racist", we have been once again told to sit down, shut up and keep our fingers crossed.

Only this time the board have used an ex player, who this time dismissed us as "hysterical", using preposterous comparisons and innuendo to try and silence dissent against the current regime.

Ronny is merely a bi product of this board, and most importantly Dermot Desmonds complete lack of ambition, institutionalised downsizing and general apathy that is leading this club to an irrecoverable position as non competitive entity.

I agree but I see DD as an absentee landlord. Lawwell is the main man at our club now DD basically has just given him free reign. All the moneyball policies and refusing to target players in the optimum age/experience bracket are all Lawwells babies. Other than that spot on.

  18. I never mentioned the dead club or talked about debt killing us....i did point out MON in control of spending and contracts and leeds over spending chasing the dream and how those high debts affected the clubs.

You really need to make up yer mind up..one minute you want a manager in with total control with no meddling from the bean counters, and now your saying our manager has total control within his budget....so what is it to be...PL is the evil over lord forcing players on our managers and DD is blameless in everything....or the manager signs the payers and its his fault.

I fear the worst on Saturday for the first time in not 100% convinced he can win it think it with Aberdeen going the way they are that being said still about 75% sure but still cause for concern

  20. We are having problems and ronny does need to move on but Aberdeen will lose more points than us between now and season end.
