You pay a single player that kind of money, and then you'll have Scott Brown at the door saying - "I'm Club Captain, I should be on at least as much as him!"

Kris Commons next "I bring flair and goals to the team, I want the same."

Leigh Griffiths - "I'm the most prolific striker in Europe at the moment, I deserve......"

There is a wage cap for a reason. If one player smashes it the whole system falls apart.

Especially when you're insinuating top class players. Take the advocation of Jonathan Soriano for example: A proven goalscorer. Why haven't we got him? Because it requires pushing the boat out but too many as more self victimising themselves alluding that we want to go out and purchase Elite players :smiley-laughing002:

    Embarrassing.

Its so entrenched in the support its remarkable. No doubt someone will try and conceptualise that we cannot spend the money we have because of England.

Aye it is a car crash but when you get 'experts' spouting off about something they have no idea about yet they continue, with each post, to highlight their ignorance ...
Still at least he has learned the difference, now it seems, between derivatives and dividends :56:
Also seems to have learned that Scott brown being on 25k a week doesn't equate to a net pay figure as well.

Signing a player that can demand a salary like that on a free usually comes with a signing on fee in excess of what we spend on transfers.

Theres no point mate. Agger is on 100k EURO a week at Brondby and some in here will do everything and anything to tell you that if we break the wage structure it will destory the club :smiley-laughing002:

Robbie Keane £65k a week; but but but but its a concidence he was only on a loan so that doesn't count

Not much Ronny can do about wage structures.

Using your logic then it should already be happening because Brown is the highest paid player by all accounts and by some distance. I've yet to see this happening at our club and Brown has been on this money for a decade.

Of course, thats why he is a idiot taking the job because his hands are tied. He deserves the vilifying criticism thrown at him.

Fair enough the 33.3% in change is 5m quid which is more than enough to cover this. Also leaving change.

It happens all the time. It happens at every single contract negotiation. Every time.

It would be much worse if we paid a player 50k.

Under this structure, yes. People on here were hating Roy Keane for not taking it without them actually reading his reasons why because of the contract clauses. Who the * wants to take our job? Owen Coyle? John Collins? Even Henrik wont take it because he knows he wont get players he wants. People need to wake up ffs.

He has had lots of criticism, he's going to be leading us into the CL qualifiers it's time to back the man.

Wake up from what......you're mental reality? :97:

You're obviously well in the know though, what with your excellent accountancy-based posts in here :56::56::56:

This is a current structure that has seen us spend (without going into too much detail), probably the best part of £5m on the last 3 defensive signings we've purchased (Boyata, Simunovic and Sviatchenko) - hardly penny pinching, is it?

Perhaps but it doesn't seem to do us any harm at the minute as we are not giving our current players money that matches what Brown is on.

    Should it aye?

Correcting the spelling is just the sign you cannot handle the critical skepticism towards the Club, its incredible :icon_mrgreen:
