Have they given up on Pretty Boy yet?
I read a report about a week ago from an agent saying he would never advise a client to make a move to Cleveland. The game against the Lions should be of epic proportions... see who sucks worst to get the 1st pick in the draft.

The Dolphins were never going anywhere fast this season with the schedule they were dealt. It is a total brute. Now our starting quarterback is out it is going to be twice as hard. Not that I think Pennington is particularly outstanding but he is still the starting quarterback. It'll be interesting to see how Chad Henne does but I won't be expecting miracles.

A bad season for the Dolphins this year could well reap dividends for next season though. Parcells & Co. have already shown what they can do when they get a few high draft picks to work with.

It was sloppy win, but a win none the less. Better hope for your sake your defense plays like that for the rest of the season!

was relieved to see the defence get some turnovers. but for all it wasn't a stunningly brilliant win we got 200 yards rushing with our number one back out, the defence stepped up and after last week when we were the better team and threw the game away against the giants i was just happy to get the win.

four leaf clover, just cant get enough.

Eric Manidiot is saying he will pick his starter Weds but I have no idea how on Earth it could be Quinn (although I hope it is, just picked up the Bengals defense for my fantasy team this week).

The Browns are the early favs for the number one pick (watch them pick Teebow) but I think the Bucs, Rams and Cheifs will all have something to say about it. I think all four of those teams are worse than the Lions this year.

Did anyone else hear about the USC running back that had the weights fall on his neck and basically crush his throat? Man I hope that guy is okay...

Yea, he's in stable but critical condition, he should be fine though. Out for the year apparently.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but if anyone deserves a medical redshirt, its him.

Medical redshirt was made for situations like this. I'm sure he'll be back.
Hate to hear about this kind of stuff and hope he has a fast recovery and gets back to school.

If he hadn't had such a muscular neck, he would have died, apparently

Bit of a better week I had on my NFLUK predictor this week. 10 out of 16. If I keep improving at this rate I should get 15 out of 16 this week! :icon_mrgreen:

I was going to mention this, but then I thought that he's already played three games, and by all means will likely be good to go by draft time. There are a few that are in his exact situation, like Oklahoma's tight end, but their injury wasn't life-threatening... I think the shock and sympathy factor are influencing peoples' calls for him to get a medical. It'll be interesting to see what the NCAA does with this.

espn.com says if he recovers and applies for a medical redshirt he has got one. UC's old qb Ben Mauck got one for a less severe injury (serious just the same). Hoping thing guy can come back if he wants to but health and happiness are first and foremost.

Three games is borderline I suppose, but I think it still warrants it. I'm generally in favor of handing out medical redshirts though. If a player misses 6+ games and bowl season due to injury... I'd give it to them. Granted, that's probably going too far for NCAA. But who knows, NCAA is never one to shy away from double standards (selling hand-made beanies for $5 = BAD BAD BAD; having a professional boxing match right after gaining national attention in a bowl game = Nothing to see here)

I want to say Lawrence Wilson got one after 2 games with Ohio State when he broke his leg. I know there's been a few other medshirts at OSU in recent history. D'Andrea comes to mind after missing most of the season for knee surgery. I'm pretty sure he played at least 3 games.

    edit: from D'Andreas' scout page

Good * then... it was just something that popped into my head. I agree he deserves it. Nice Boise State reference too, I thought that was completely asinine when they did that.

It will depend on where you are as there will be a local team near you that will be on tv.
