He wanted Darren Fletcher? ffs

Sounds like he is now wanting to move away from his "road to rome".

Was starting to think maybe being too harsh on him but the more I hear I from him the more I worry.

 

We are predictable to set up against if Ronny doesn't start varying our formation and style it will be his undoing..

Maybe with Ciftci now available we will see a different approach and style..

 

We need a plan B for sure but if the players play to the best of their abilities then we would wipe the floor with every SPL team and hold our own against the likes of Ajax.
The point of the formation is so the players are used to it and to play it in Europe, but of course doesn't mean we should use it every week.

 

There are some decent coaches in the SPL too, who can make our life difficult because we always play the same way.. It would be nice to vary it and keep them guessing and by the time they have worked out what's happened we are out of sight..

We've got the personnel to vary our tactics..

Think Hartsons initial feeling was correct.

 

If he plays ciftci up front on his own in the spl it will be a total disaster imo.
I'm really not convinced that ciftci is anywhere near good enough to play for us at all.

 

we need more transparency on transfer fees, seen 2.5 branded around for Cifti, seen some 1.5

lawell is many things but he aint a mug, I refuse to believe he paid 2.5m for that *

they are happy for the inflated figures to be spread around tho so it looks like they are actually spending a fraction of the money they take in

 

Too early to make any critique of him, Griffiths and he could be a potent partnership if in the unlikely event of a variation of tactics.

 

Exactly class player who just seemed to be the whipping boy for the Man Utd 'fans' for a while, he is also a Celtic fan aswell on a side note, but he done the right thing by going to WBA tbh putting money in the bank as its a short career

 

Hartson has since admitted he got it wrong about Deila..

But even Sutton and Hartson have said they might have jumped the gun a bit, look we aren't saying everything is perfect or he is beyond criticism, but this is a full transition from backroom to first team whilst still being able to function at a high level, maybe questions should start being asked if he is just happy to go along with what the board are providing

 

We need to look to south america, Leverkusen got 20yo Wendell for 4.5m and he was probably on around 15k a week. Thats well within our capabilities in my opinion.

Wendell one of the best young left backs in Europe just now and his value has trebled easily.

Dont know if we have restrictions on signing young players from that part of the world but if we dont then we are surely missing a trick.

How was Ronny wanting Fletcher a bad thing? An experienced winner to sit alongside Brown and/or Bitton could have really made the difference over the two legs against Malmo.

 

I think Ronny defo knows what's it like to manage Celtic now, don't see the point in regurgitating negative comments that have since been retracted..

 

Fletcher is a good player but midfield isn't the priority when it comes to strengthening the squad.
