Each of they wins played a part in getting to the last 16, so I agree with you to an extent. However, would you take beating one of those teams, then finish bottom of the group, over winning a domestic cup?

What worries me is he never changes shape or tactics to suit opponents, always the same regardless if were home to st Johnstone or away to inter Milan, surely different formations and tactics should be used at times.

Hahaha I reckon he is fishing but I dont know in all honesty. Even if he is serious then there is some amount of * posted on here from others who dont get near the same level of scorn.

    Eg:
Jackie Mac trying to injure our players
    Ronny best manager since Jock
Sutton has an agenda against us

and dont get me started on the whopper that was the Stokes V Scepovic thread. That was genuinely disturbing!

If we were defending our lead we weren't do very well at it, either sit deep and counter or go for goals, we done neither defence and attacking wise we were * compared to what we are capable of.

Yeah, likewise everyone I've spoken to has had the same opinion.

I've said since his post match interview that I have absolutely no problem with him calling what he saw, and I still feel that way. He was spot on saying they looked scared, and I totally agree with him. I think he may be backtracking that exact comment after his talk in with the players? and I suppose that's understandable, but I still think he meant what he said at the time.

It doesn't mean he said they were shitebags, just that they looked scared against the opposition by the way they stood off them and allowed them to dictate the entire game.

He comes across really well in every interview he gives, and this was no different.

I dunno. Your counterbalancing the win with guaranteed loses.

I would take a guaranteed home win over Fenerbache this year over a league cup.

I enjoy the way he presents himself. I like a manager who has the respect to let the fans hear what they should hear about the team.

Digression, but I much prefer this to the sarcasm of WGS or the evasive Mourinho etc.

There's no point in getting on his back now, he's here for the foreseeable future.

Let's see who he brings in before the window closes, and how he gets on in the Europa League. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a good showing in that tournament, as that is our level. We're facing clubs who we realistically can and should be competing with.

I wouldn't. It doesn't have to be one or the other though either. Just like it wasn't when we got into the CL group phase, but lost at home to Morton, then to Aberdeen later in the season. It's not as if we sacrificed those games to get into the CL is it?

My opinion on how suitable RD is as our manager will be judged on the next 6 European games. I am more than happy to forget the Malmo loss if Ronnie proves himself in the group stages of the EL

I realise it does not have to be one or other. I would love to win the treble and progress in Europe. I just place a higher stock on Euro success versus domestic cups. The final question is a little patronising as I never suggested we sacrificed any games

That's how I feel about it. Topping the group would be excellent and he would have my full faith going into next years qualifiers. Second would also be an achievement and justify him having more time imo.

Third is really dependent on performance and how many points we gather. Fourth and he should go.

    I would agree with this.

We finished second in a much poorer group than this last year.

Getting to the last 32 again from this group would signify progress from last season.
