People who choose to have * lives bay for the blood of football managers because they are too cowardly to alter the experience of their own existence.

Because of the boards inability to support the manager , you might see deila quit at the end of the season, I hope not but I can see it happening.

Just as the board don't cave in to a vocal minority when it comes to transfers, here's hoping they don't cave on the manager either.

If they do, we all have half an idea who his replacement would be.

Any judgement on his tactics or philosophy just now are rash and unfounded. He'll have to adapt to a new culture, language (although his English is very strong). It's not his team, he's not had an opportunity to implement any signings that would fit his strategy or vision and he's only managed in 3 competitive matches, winning two of them, albeit expected wins.

This appointment was very much made with a long-term plan that will take awhile to come into fruition.

Anyway, an away defeat in Europe is nothing new as a Celtic fan. We've been defeated by worse teams than Leiga Warsaw. We're still capable of qualifying if things fall into place at home. Even Europa League would be a good chance for Ronnie to gain experience and build the foundations for a better team, more capable of success in the Champions League next year.

How long do you think he deserves? Surely, at least a season. It'll be the same fans calling him tactically inept as it was heaping praise on him after the KR Reykjavic game, living from game to game without really putting it into perspective.

I'd say give him til the end of this season to * where we are, however I don't think we should discuss his future until NEXT season is under way and then after the first few months of next season is when it should be discussed whether he's doing a good job of taking us in the direction we expect to be going into.

I think the combination of our financial situation and the fact that he's a new manager with new ideas, means he should be given a free pass this season (unless it's an unimaginable disaster). I takes time for things to click into gear, he probably won't even know his best 11 and which area he sees as weak points for a few months yet. He'll probably try different players and different systems until he gets a system that he feels suites himself and the team.

No chance can you blame this on Deila. Any
Manager needs time and money to put there own spin on things.

Yes you can, he picks the team and the tactics. Yes it can take time and I am giving him time just pointing out the fact that at this time (yes only two games in) he looks all over the place. I am far from impressed.

He needs some time to build his own team.

How did Lennon and the tactically inept Strachen get on in their first European adventure?

Anyone asking for his head take a long hard look at yourself. He needs support and time to make his own stamp on this shambles of a squad.

It's a heavily embrassing result but it's not the first time in recent years a new manager has failed to qualify for the champions league at the first attempt either.

No desire from any of those players minus Macgregor. Interesting to see how we recover here, with a Europa league place still to 'fight' for.

It's terrible that my initial fears over Deila have been realised.

If we don't back this guy it will be an opportunity missed. That team is stinking but it isn't his team. Ronny is not to blame tonight.

Right so, we cant criticise the manager is that what you are saying?.

As I said I will give him time but RIGHT NOW he is looking a bit lost and from defence to attack his team are all over the place. That is fact.

That's the thing you can't really argue though. Strachans teams came back and won 4 nil and nearly done it. Lennons team beat brags 2-1 I'm the return, and braga were a decent side. That tonight was pitiful, and cannot be defended, he clearly never learned much from the first game.

Tbh it's far too early to label him a dud, but I'm certainly less than impressed.

Real lack of shape and purpose.

He shares blame equally 3 ways between himself the board and the players.

They all need to get there arses in gear.

And we need to completely revamp the 1st team squad.

I mean it - I want at least 10 first team players out the door ASAP
