I dont like him cause he over stayed his visit, he was nowhere near the calibre of playr to be playing Celtic in his last years

 

i loved lenny but guitarbhoy is right lenny left at the right time as he was struggling in the end,thanks for the memories lenny.

i wasn't anti lennon, though he did a few things that bugged me-
1. he always reacted. never could be the bigger man and walk away.
2. was always in the paper, none of it good.
3. never came out in the papers and backed the team to do well.

on field in footballing terms he was great.

 

*. If you can get a sensible reason for the anti Lenny posts on here then you should run for 1st Minister. His face just didn't fit with some folks. Now he's gone they have found a few others to pillory.
Lenny, for me, was class.

 

He probably stayed a season too long he looked a bit geriatric towards the end of 06/07 season but a decent player over his time here nevertheless

 

I agree. Until his last two seasons he was great, a real master at his role but he started to decline due to age about 2 years before he went and was dead on his feet last year. He could still dig out the odd great performance in the CL but in most games he lost his edge. He seemed such a decent and intelligent guy in interiews and he put up with a lot although I am sure the less blind blue noses had a sneaking respect for someone like him.

 

I had a lot of time for Lennon but i just prefer midfielders who play football and not just break up play. We will miss him or a player of his ilk in Europe but against most SPL clubs he sat in an area and did very little. Paul Lambert was a better player imo who could pick a pass and break up play.
