Cut our losses. He's got a good touch but isn't that fast, has little strength, isn't good in the air, isn't great at passing or crossing, and is a terrible finisher. He's far, far too weak (mentally and physically) to be a top striker, nowhere near predatory enough.

He's just too much of a nice guy to be a success at Celtic.

We'll probably get 1 million for him tops, but it hasn't worked out so thanks and goodbye.

really hope he is sold, We have Watt, Stokes, Griffiths and Balde, who are all better than him, if we can get 2.5 million it would be great

Don't think this has any chance of happening.

By 'finish the deal', he meant he hopes Pukki actually gets the move to Freiburg; not that he hopes he'll stay.

Would sell him if someone came in for him but I've no problem giving him another season if he stays.

I would argue with those two points. Seems to have a lot of good link up play so his passing is more than adequate. In regards to his finishing, yes he hasn't scored loads of goals, but I don't really recall him missing a lot of chances. A lot of his finishes have been quite tidy. Wednesday night for example, how many shots did he actually have?

Aye, if anything he is a good finisher. All his goals have been pretty good shots and as you say I dont recall him missing many chances or badly shooting off target or anything.

In the SPL he has scored 7 goals from 32 shots, a goal every 4.6 shots which is decent enough. Actually really similar to Griffiths who has 7 from 33 shots.

Hope we keep him for another season. He's just started showing some promising signs, it would be silly to sell him now.

A solid pre-season could do him some good.

I hate his stupid wee face, looks like a wee shitebag.

Luckily i'm not manager though cause he might end up half decent. Doubt it but would like to be proved wrong.

I personally don't think he's good enough, especially given the price tag.
Also, Lennon said he wants a new striker so I'd definitely sell him if given the chance.
It's funny one or two games where Pukki plays a bit better (after how many starts this season) and Balde has been not so good (after how many goals in 3min substitutions) and a lot of people's minds are made up.

I've always had a feeling he's been a bit unsettled here. Not because he doesn't like the club, but just that he (and maybe his family) hasn't (haven't) been able to settle in to life in Scotland.

I like the guy - even when he wasn't scoring he worked hard for the team. If he is happy in Scotland I suspect it's just taken him a while to adjust to the game over here and IMO he's never had a poor game since around November/December. Since just before Christmas I think he's played well and Griffiths coming in hasn't stopped him doing very well off the bench. I think he could definitely kick on next season if given the opportunity and be at the very least a useful squad player.

However, if Freiburg come in with an offer close to what we paid for him I wouldn't be too fussed if we sold him. I don't see him multiplying his value too much, both because I'm not sure he's the type of player who'll ever stand out as being exceptional (for me he's not a 20+ goal man, more of a consistent, hard-working team player a bit like Joe Ledley), and (mainly) because his opportunities have been limited since Griffiths arrived, so I don't see him realistically getting the chance.

More than happy to keep, but if the money's right, sell.

The question is do Freiburg have the money to buy him or do they see Pukki as a cheap signing. They aren't a big club in Germany, they go up and down a lot, so it depends if Pukki would rather go back and play regular football. He can do that here, but if a bid comes in that means we recoup the money we spent, i think we'd be daft not to.

No selling for this amount of money. We only have him for half a season.

Don't see why we should take a cut price for him. People talking about Hooper coming back but us not being able to afford him.

I remember Pukki said last year him being in top form in the second season. I hope he stays but his mind may change.

It doesn't do any good for a younger player to change a club too often. He needs to settle down to make progress, to grow up his confidence , to see familiar coaches, players and the familiar environment around him.

Freiburg would be a new and strange place to settle down again. If there are any bids, I think Pukki will be weighing up pros and cons of his situation in order to boost his career. Personally I think staying with Celtic is by far the best option to make progress.
