  1. * it just keeps getting better.

  2. Have seen all the released episodes and i love the show.

  3. I watched the finale this morning and thought it was *!! :38:

Fair enough if Malvo had to die then surely it should be Lester who kills him off. Not that mailman Gus who had been a bit of a wimp throughout the whole show.

I wasn't at all happy with how Lester went out either, running away and falling through some ice. I suppose I was just expecting him and Malvo to have a huge shoot out. Which didn't happen.

Apart from the finale, I thought the rest of the season was decent.

  4. I thought the finale was okay, Didnt like the way lester went though, he really had a walter white transformation and shoud have gone out in flames.

  5. Up to episode 8 on this. Brilliant.

  6. Great to see this win a Golden Globe for best mini series 2014. Superb show.

And good to see Billy Bob Thorton won a Golden Globe for best actor of a mini series. Amazing performance from him, well deserved. Such a great actor.

Thought the first series was the best thing made since the wire. New series starts in October:50:

  7. Looking forward to the second season. Enjoyed season 1 but I think it's majorly overrated.

  8. October it's back then what date you know?

First season was a masterclass, both Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton were unbelievably good.

  9. Thought all the main characters were excellent. Got the balance just right between funny and scary/action. I think they're doing a true detective thing where it's 2 new leads but maybe other characters remain as it is still set in Fargo. Mid October is what i hear mate.

  10. They certainly were:50: Aye it's a different cast but with a few old one from the first season remaining. A read Molly(Allison Tolman) father from the first season will play a big part and it's set 10-20 year before.

  11. Any star names in it?

  12. I know Ted Danson is in it, he might be playing the father from the first season.

I'll miss Billy Bob though, his character was brilliant and he played it so well.

  13. Anyone watching season 2?

4 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. The cast is good, as are most of the characters so far. Better than season 1.

    Lilac Wine likes this.
  14. I'm really enjoying it, not quite as much as the first season though. I think it's missing a bit of the dark humour the first series had. Think the black gangster and the mommy gangster are really good.

Also the butcher looks like a fat Matt Damon.

  15. Aye it's not quite as funny, mind you this weeks episode had a couple of laughs in it. Mike Milligan is great, love a bad guy with a bit of a swagger.

He does. He actually played a younger version of a Matt Damon character from one of his films.:smiley-laughing002:

  16. Really? :smiley-laughing002:

Yeah, the episode i just watched (4 or 5?) had Ronald Reagan in it and he was pretty funny.

  17. Finished this last night. Overall a really good season and a step up from season 1.

Although the UFO scene makes it significantly worse than it would otherwise be.

  18. Really enjoyed it. Disagree about it being better than the first. Thought Kirsten dunst got better as it progressed.

As for the spoiler Boyd - not sure. Fargo is meant to be quirky like that.

Hanzy could do a decent spin off, he was bad *.

  19. Season 1 was really good and I re-watched it a few months ago but I just preferred the story and characters in the this. Yeah she was great, Bokeem Woodbine was great as Mike Milligan as well.

I know and I do enjoy the quirkiness at times and throughout the entire season I was interest by the whole
    UFO
teasing and I was looking forward to the pay off.
But to have the UFO essentially save the main character was too much. If it had been something less important to the story I'd have been fine with it. Felt like a bit of a cop out.

Well did you fully understand the final scene with him? I didn't until I read a review for the episode.
He eventually became the boss of the Fargo mob, who was killed by Lorne Malvo in season 1.
