It's not people being politically correct and it's not other people's fault. He called somebody a * immigrant and told a Scottish man on Twitter to "go back where you came from" because he had a Muslim sounding name. If Lee McCullouch sang GO ON HOME JOHN DALY YOU * IMMIGRANT and told Zaq Iqbal to go back where he came from, the same people defending Griffiths would be claiming outrage over McCullouch saying it.

To be honest any club worth their salt shouldn't tolerate any player with a "* it" attitude but football clubs will employ serial killers or paedophiles if they got them a dozen goals a season, anyone that knows the name "Marlon King" down in England will get my drift, no shortage of clubs and big salaries over the years and now just about to be sentenced to his second prison term.

You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Attending Real IRA linked functions. Conduct unbecoming of a Celtic player. Neil Lennon condemned it also.

Did you give a * about that ? Doubt it.

It's really easy for you to sit there and play it down because the isn't aimed towards you and doesn't affect you in any way what so ever. The easiest thing for you to do is try and play it down because you like Griffiths.

Racism is racism... There is no grey area.

The fact you are trying to brush it off because its just a song kind of makes all the sectarian singing a certain group of fans are involved in also not a big deal... Just " wind ups ".

    I wouldnt.

Same as im not bothered by huns singing the billy boys or famine song. It's all offending to wind people up. No crimes are actually being committed.

This is very true, if the tables were turned they would be calling for his head. I'd like to see some of the Griffiths defenders acknowledge this.

    Thats what it is but.

When we sung of Novo being shot by the IRA it was a song to get it up him, when they sing the billy boys it's the same, when hibs fans sing of Skacel being a refugee it's the same.

Theres not huns going about killing fenians, we are not getting the IRA to shoot Novo. All thats got nothing to do with the songs, theyre just songs somecunt made up to sing against rival fans.

That's what money and goals can do I suppose but Celtic should be rising above it and setting an example....that opportunity has now vanished IMO, he's now been allowed to come across as a fud once again further backing the point he should be punted out on his *

    Rant over lol

Aye and calling people */monkeys/pakis/gooks etc, spitting on folk because of their skin colour/religion etc is alright because they are only words.

It all starts with these songs, then comes the confrontations, then comes the violence. It all starts somewhere. Do you think Skacel brushed it off as a wind up? As I said... Really easy when you are not the victim.

If Stokes was caught singing that he'd of been sacked on the spot in my opinion.

    What?

You said you only care about what players do on the pitch, does that not apply to Stokes?

I never said it was alright but at worst it is severely offending people.

Spitting on people is out of bounds regardless of why its done. But name calling to me is name calling.

As I said ALL clubs should rise above it but sadly that's the world we live in, condemning a lack of morality is one thing to a football club but if an individual showing those traits can help the share prices of the club in the tiniest way then they are more than happy to ignore just about anything.

I have been the victim though, huns have sung stuff against us at games plenty of times but never once have I been offended by it. It's to be expected, there are aresholes everywhere life is too short to be greetin about name calling and offending.

Its very different when it is a large group aiming their hatred at one person. And just because you are immune to it, doesn't mean the guy next to you is. Its a very narrow minded and selfish attitude to just say all these victims of racism should just have thicker skin and deal with verbal abuse because you can.
