Should be looking use the overdraft to fund transfers. Simple rule - don't buy what you can't afford.

I have it on very good authority he has been offered a deal he's out of contract this summer. I'd imagine it would be as a number two

You are not meant to take analogies literally... How about spoilt brats do you prefer that one?

And the teams they went to has nothing to do with it, the question was if it hadn't worked for Larsson would you take him back? As a lot of people are suggesting they wouldn't take Hooper back, purely because he left when he did... Even though he was extremely successful and would almost certainly be again. Why wouldn't you want a proven, class player.

The analogy wasn't taken literally but alright.

The teams they went to has everything to do with it. Larsson gave Celtic his best years when he could have walked into any club in the world. Celtic were indebted to him. He left for the biggest club in the world and won a European Cup, I can't blame him for that. Yes, I'd have taken him back at Celtic in a heartbeat. Not because of his ability but because of the loyalty he showed our club. He also have everything right up until he pulled our jersey off for the last time.

Hooper was too big for Celtic. He spent half a season doing completely uninterested and moved to an absolute non-entity in Norwich City where he knew he'd be fighting relegation. That's a kick in the teeth no matter how you dress it up. So no, I don't want him back. He couldn't get away quick enough so let him founder in the Championship.

He used to be one of their star men but hasn't really played obviously when he's been injured for so long.

If Kayal gets his move i'd really like to see us move for Ryan Gauld at Dundee United. If we could get him on our books he'll be worth a fortune in a few years. That along with Rogic coming back from the world cup we could have a really exciting midfield with the emergence of young henderson as well.

Obviously the champions league is a major priority but next season would be a great opportunity to try and bed in a few more youngsters

The big 4 i see leaving this summer
Foster (don't want it to happen but it will)
VVD - (don't want it to happen but it will)
    Kayal
    Samaras

So its going to be a big summer this year

No we could have signed johansson in January but that was the move that Celtic worked 6 weeks on and then AZ moved goalposts and move collapsed.

Would like to see us sign him need quality up front rather than quantity out of our strikers when have just now either still here or on loan I think come end of summer window only stokes and griffiths will remain, rest will leave, be sold or put out on loan again.

    Samaras will leave
Atajic won't have his contract renewed
    Balde will be loaned
    Pukki sold
    Watt sold
Fridjonsson loaned or kept in development squad for first half of season at least.

I would rather just give mcmullen a chance than sign gauld. Gauld is a good player but imo he massively overhyped and has never really impressed me when hes played us. He also lacks top end speed which I think will hold him back at the highest levels of the game. One player who I think we should go for is john mcginn from st. mirren, hes always impressed me when we have played them and he looks like a very tricky dribbler with a bit of power about him aswell. He gave brown a real hard time when we played them back in february. I would also go for jakub kosecki from legia warsaw for the left wing position. Hes got great dribbling ability and is quite pacey. He'd be perfect for getting us up the field in the champions league.

Interesting to see some salary figures in the MLS today, see what we're up against.

Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, and Jermaine Defoe are the three highest paid players, in that order. They all earn over $6m per season. Dempsey's $6.695m this season comes out to roughly $140k per week.

Robbie Keane is making $4.5m per season (5th in the league, marginally behind Landon Donovan), or $94k per week.

These guys are big time outliers tho- only 12 players in the MLS make over $1m per year, or $20k per week.

There are 19 teams in the MLS, 8 of which pay each of their players $500k per year or less ($10.4k a week).
