Is there any impact this can have on us if they start reneging on the Wanyama deal? Goes to show that even money we are owed in, is never guaranteed.

Anyone know how the deal is structured?

Maybe we can get him and some of the money back? :50:

Isn't he still badly injured? They must regret the deal badly now.

He's back now. He was out for about 3 months, I doubt they do, their record with him on the pitch is vastly superior than without him.

Other than that though, think it's sometimes good to highlight our boards hesitance in spending what's not yet in our bank.

A club with Chambers, Clyne, Shaw, Lovren, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Lallana and Rodriguez have plenty of assets. Thats a good £80-90million worth of players.

Definitely, they strike me as a club who think they are bigger than they are though, who would be a bit bitter having to sell on. Cling onto the players kind of way.

The Net Loss is purely down to transfer expenditure, from the information provided in their annual results they're not in a difficult financial position at all. Hofstetter's perception is one aimed at quelling fan expectancy by the looks of things, it is widely accepted that Cortese is the man that completely rejuvenated the club from top to bottom and him leaving leaves a massive hole.

We'll get our money no bother but not only that, unless they want to refresh the squad, they're not even in a position where they have to sell their star players.

I noticed that as well, it's no coincidence that since Wanyama went out injured they started conceding more goals, the barely conceded any when he was on the park.

We will get the money, even if it is slightly delayed by minor problems they have..

They do give the impression of a club that is getting big for there boots, the media frenzy doesn't help that because they have a few good english players..they have a quality academy churning out stars but it won't stop them from being nothing more than a mid table mediocre premier league club..
The proof of that will be in the summer when they lose the likes of shaw, lallana and 1 or 2 others..

Take him back if they are even one day late with payments :bbpd: did that not happen with Ra***rs and Craig Moore with Crystal Palace ?, Palace signed him but then had financial problems so Moore was returned to Ra***rs.

Aye, that guy coming on here shouting about top 4 ambitions, one of the richest clubs in the world, bigger than Celtic - potential to win the league and the stadium expansion - despite the countless empty seats you see at their matches :56: Bumper.

They are quite decent though and have achieved far more than I would have expected.

A decent start to the season but shat it pretty quickly, even more so when Vic was taken out of the picture.

Mid-table mediocrity is the best you can expect from them. They're just another Stoke / Villa / West Ham.

Is it just a loan that osvaldo is away on.

In all seriousness would like liverpool to sign one of lallana or Rodriguez in the summer tbh.

Me too. They need to strengthen at the back more urgently though. The BBC gossip section had them linked with Lovren today.

And, aye, it's just a loan.

If I was a Liverpool fan, I'd be wanting them to sign Van Dijk....but since I'm not....they can * right off :icon_mrgreen:

Apparently they want Jerome Boateng. Imagine him and Van Dijk? Would be class.

Think we could get Boateng in a trade for Ambrose?

I think Ambrose could show the Bayern defenders a thing or two about dribbling :smiley-laughing002:
