In the context of the Talk Celtic community:

Thatcher was a good thing for this country

Immigration is great, but numbers should be balanced by banishing misbehaving people from the land.

Ante-bellum Southern slavery wasn't THAT bad in the context of the period.

The charge of "plastic paddy" is valid in some cases when it comes to the Celtic support

I will get my coat :fear:

There are certainly plenty of secularists, but not so many that would call for it to disappear from public life. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Me and my mates had a few cans before a wee class test yesterday..... how many other societies would deem this as normal behaviour? :smiley-laughing002:

I'd rather Scotland won the World Cup than Celtic won the European Cup.

I have said this. Lots of my pals have taken The Pledge and don't drink before 18. Who in Scotland does that? :smiley-laughing002:

I had already tasted alcohol before confirmation so "the pledge" was never an option... :smiley-laughing002:

Not that many of my friends who took it actually stuck to it for very long...

It's a promise to not drink alcohol.... Must be an Irish thing....my dad had a drink problem and every so often my nana would make him take the pledge, the priest would come to the house and dad would take The Pledge.

That's what I know of it.
