People actually believe he wanted to stay and the board * up. He done the same at Cardiff.

He'll be a miss for sure, big game player.

We just have to hope Johansen is the VDV to our Wilson....

:50: exactly what I was thinking....would say that Commons and Stokes will be here for the long term, but after this window, who knows?

I'd like to see the evidence too.

But! To be honest I wouldn't be surprised or annoyed if it were the case. These were two players eating up a large chunk of wages between them and in all honesty I think this team can carry on without them fairly easily.

Why is that so funny? The guy was full of passion playing for us.

He turned down bigger wages from Roma when he first signed so that's your argument about money blown out the water.

Him and Samaras have been offered wage cuts. Some people can't see out board doing any wrong, it's scary.

Eh are u taking the *? He's another mercenary. I thought he was a decent player and always tried his best but I certainly won't be mourning his absence. He has given up medals and prestige for money as did Hooper. For me he was never a must in the celtic team, therefore he will be replaced quite comfortably in my opinion.

Just saw him on SkySports ...

He wants to play in the EPL. In London. The big-time. It's that simple, I think.

It CAN'T possibly be the history of Crystal Palace, because there isn't much.

If a player of his calibre plays well, the money will take care of itself, so that's not it.

He needs to do it before he's too old.

    I'll give him that.

Gutted, but good luck to him. My favourite player once.

    So long, Super Joe.

Know what does do my head in... You heard McCormack on the phone on SSN earlier saying he wants to stay and would be gutted etc if the manager was sacked devoted himself to the club

Then you get players who leave without a goodbye message or saying they are gutted about Leaving etc then gift a big smile like leaving your club was nothing... I get hooper etc had time to reflect and get things done but ledley looks
Chuffed to bit instead of being a bit dissapointed

And some people refuse to acknowledge that they might not be to blame, and that perhaps Ledley just fancied a change.

Show me one credible source that Ledley and samaras were offered reduced terms.

I'm not sure on the actuall price we got for him I did her around 2 2.5 and the 800k was a load of bullshit but whatever the first offer was ledley rejected it they says it on SSN I'm sure it was the guy in the studio over here who says it he initially sayd no to palaces first bid

I think we should be aiming to bring in more 'Celtic' men...we need a strong base of players e.g. Snidgrass, McCormack etc.

How much is Ledley going for? If it's £800,000 I think that is poor business on our part even if his contract is running down. £2,000,000 at the very least as he is a regular international plus Champions League experience.

Because what player wouldn't honestly say that he really loved it here and that he'd "be happy to extend his stay". That's standard lines meant to keep the fans onside and keep the options open. Don't blame Joe for saying it and I still like the guy but I don't think he ever really wanted to stay here forever.

My argument about money blown out the water? Why has he gone to Crystal Palace?

No no. I just asked you to prove that they have been offered wage cuts. As I mentioned a moment ago I can see it happening and I wouldn't have been against it, I'd just like you to prove it.

I seen in a paper it was 2.5 but took it as just bullshit.
But the fee for the player is between the clubs and nothing to do with ledley,he can reject wages ect ect but not the fee between clubs i would have thought.:39:

The board are to blame for letting it get to this situation. I have my own source via an ex celtic player, and it's true, believe what you want though.
