Leigh Griffiths

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Vertie Auld, Jan 31, 2014.

  1. If he didn't dive he would have got a penalty.

  2. I'd agree with that, and yeah Dev, maybe you're right there

  3. Think the pen was a 50/50. Certainly wasn't a blatant dive.

  4. He initiated the contact with the full back by leaving his leg in guys, lets no beat around the bush because hes our player. No contact would have been made had he not deliberately dangled his leg.

  5. Nah, it would have. The guy came in late but he was already on his way down. Would have been a penalty if he didn't dive, should have just kept going as normal and the defender would have caught him.

Think he could beat last seasons goal tally ? I fancy him to do it.

Always been critical of certain aspects of his game. BR has improved them already, who knows how much better he can get. Guy gives 100% all the time, you would imagine he's the same in training. He still has things he has to work on but he now has the manager to help him improve and turn him into a better all round player.

  6. Don't see why not tbh mate, he's scored 6 already and were 2 league games in 36 to go plus at least 6 games in Europe and 10 odd in cup competitions.

Unless he pick up an injury I reckon he will get at least 30!

  7. Was neither a dive nor a penalty.

  8. Totally agree and Thompson showed what a * he is by booking him .

  9. He did but also if he ran as normal the guy would have tripped him anyway, either way he was going to go down. He should have just ran through the guys leg instead of avoiding it and we'd have got the penalty.

  10. not a " blatant dive " for me and never worth a booking either.

  11. It would have been a penalty, but Leigh was going down prior to being hit. Happens a lot every week with players. Trying to liken it to the hearts guy the other week against us by BT was a joke

  12. Should be mandatory for all forwards in Scotland to pass the "Jumble Sale Old Granny Test"

Skills acquired will be legitimate use of the elbows
Squeezing between two defenders (or more)
    Maintaining forward momentum
Last but not least, Staying on yer feet

these old biddies will trample anyone on the ground without fear or favour

Oh, and it should be livestreamed and recorded for posterity

Any man who can't pass the test should not be permitted to play for Scottish teams :celt_2:

  13. Going to be another season of unstoppable Leigh Griffiths.

  14. A Joke, but not really a surprise - the Jambo * cheated, the club (Broony) were outspoken - therefore any associated (i don't want to say similar) event was always going to lead to * like...."well Celtic cant have it both ways, or these things even out etc etc
