I dont understand how people can criticize Leigh Griffiths. Without him we could conceivably finish second. I am not joking he is our most important player by far.

His importance is heightened because we don't have a back up striker that we've got any faith in. Didn't want Griffiths, didn't think he was good enough. He's worked so hard for us since he came, delighted I was wrong

He scored 28 goals for Hibs and scored in nearly 1 in 2 for wolves before he came here, why did anyone doubt him

Tbf, he had major attitude issues before Ronnie talked to him. Issues which affected his game, he's always been a goal scorer but he's got so much more to his game and he's getting better all the time now.

Fantastic header but yet again * game.

Lets be honest here, he's useless in the lone striker role. Not Stokes useless but still pretty useless. All he can do is run in behind and work hard.

Don't want to be too harsh on him because he scored a great goal but he needs a partner to thrive. Him and Ciftci would probably be good together. You know what we could even put Ciftci behind him and it would be a lot better than it is now. He's not got any support most of the time.

He scored a goal, got an assist and was involved in a lovely bit of play with Bitton that should have led to a goal, all on a day where we played badly and so he wasn't getting much service. Of course as always he worked his * off work making ruins off the ball and defensively. Not sure what else you can ask for.

Today was your typical game from Griffiths, for me. Much like Commons of old, he scores a goal which is fair enough...but then he's rank for the rest of the game.

He scored a very nice header but how many times did he fail to control a simple pass, or run intro danger, or give the ball away, or put in a * cross?

I don't want to come across as hating the guy or moaning for no reason, but he just really isn't very good. He's the best we have at the moment and I can't argue with his scoring record, but we need someone who can do more.
